Country Inn of Hazlet

The Inn was spotless and well maintained inside and out. It was also packed with quirky items/antiques which were interesting. It was very quiet, although perfectly placed (close to main roads particularly the Garden State Parkway) for exploring the state, especially the Shore. The rear entrance/exit to the car park also made life a lot easier. I had no problems during the stay, so little interaction with the staff, but what I did have was efficient and friendly.

There were no eating facilities, which was fine, but a vending machine would have been welcome. As would a kettle in the room, rather than what I think was some sort of coffee percolator.

This remodeled and upgraded hotel was wonderful. It is charmingly decorated in early Americana - very nice touch. The bed was comfortable, lots of great pillows, SUPER clean and well-maintained. Coffee maker in the room was greatly appreciated. Also, while near two highways, there was very little road noise. I would stay at this hotel again in a heartbeat - just wish other hotels/motels of similar value and comfort were more plentiful.

They do not have breakfast of any kind, but with a coffee/tea maker and refrigerators in the rooms, doing our own breakfast was not a hardship. Also, there is a Perkins very nearby with GREAT breakfasts.

The receptionists were very nice. We were pleasantly surprised with the size of our room and loved that there was a little dining set with four chairs, and a rocking chair! We never saw any of the housekeeping staff but every evening when we returned our beds were always made and towels replaced...although we didn't necessarily need them, we don't see that anymore and it was a good feel.

The walls were quite thin and so we can hear our neighbors when they are conversing - I'd hate to know how much of the noise they heard of our kids and when the TV was on.

This is a spotlessly clean, comfortable, family-friendly hotel. No meals, but a nice lobby area with ice, microwave, and disposable utensils, etc. if you want to order in or warm something up. Comfortable beds.

Located on a stretch of road with few turn-arounds/jug handles. Call for directions or check website rather then relying on GPS.

The only thing missing in this lovely inn is breakfast, but we knew that and were prepared.

There is a bit of road noise, but most rooms are quiet and even the rooms facing the road have some sound-proofing

So clean !!and comfortable a little pricey but close enough to uber to pnc right off highway so worked for us room was a little warm and we couldn't comtrol lower than 75 but we weren't in room long candies on pillow nice touch I'd stay there again thank you

Cleanliness

The Inn is a wonderful bit of tranquility. The interior and exterior are truly like an Inn you would find in the country and the rooms are individually decorated to look like such a country inn. It made me feel very comfortable and more at home than in an impersonal hotel. And, the staff are incredibly friendly.

Nice clean and new location. Small hotel with a classic look. Easy to drive to the shore for eating or a walk.

Noisy, thin walls and guest noises in the hallway until way after midnight. UPDATE: In the morning the manager apologized for the inconvenience. The reason was a noisy guest.

If you want a clean and comfy stay, try this inn. I barely ever write reviews, and I am super picky about cleanliness, so this should tell you about the experience. I will definitely stay here again when visiting NJ.

The walls are a bit thin. You can hear the TV in the next room.

Quiet. Pictures in the wall. Clean. OpenTable windows. Good cable TV, not all pixelated! Overall a1. Very country, and just enough inn.

They could have had someone working the front desk all night. That's what separates a hotel from a motel.
