Colts Neck Inn Hotel

We were apprehensive booking a hotel in the Jersey shore area because so many places are run down. And reviews are often mixed. The Colts Neck Inn however, exceeded our expectations. The room was clean and up to date; there was even a fresh rose on the night table! Staff was friendly. And we liked the little extras (free bicycles, board games, breakfast).

A bit too much of a strong cleaning product smell in the room. Also, the AC unit was low and right next to the bed. So the person next to the AC was very cold but those at the second bed were not getting enough cool air.

The hotel, breakfast and inn are very clean. The room is spacious. There are make up removal wipes, vanity kit available. The water and plumbing worked perfectly fine.

No receptionist was available as we waited over 20 minutes in the lobby about 7pm. When the receptionist, Rob finally came, barely apologized for why no one was available. He said there was supposed to be a sign " Will be back in 10 minutes" on the table, but the sign wasn't there and it was more than 10 minutes. He said, "I am sorry, but.." But...? You are not sorry. Otherwise, the other staff on premise are nice and business as usual. Except for this encounter, I would recommend this place.

The property was conveniently located for my needs. There was a great restaurant across the street with excellent food at a reasonable price. Lots of fun. This hotel isn’t for the type of person that wants a sterile Holiday Inn type stay. It’s more like a lodge that you used to visit when you were a kid. the room was simple but large. The beds were comfortable and the blankets and pillows were great. There hardwood type flooring and no carpet on the floor which I loved. It had a quaint homey feel to it. The continental breakfast was served in a comfortable room that could also be used as a game room. You could also order takeout and eat it in the game room, which is nicer than having it in your room. And breakfast was simple, but good. The price was super great, and everybody was friendly. And although it wasn’t the most modern place, as I had mentioned before, it was clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay again.

Remy Is Fabulous , and So Helpful between recommending a perfect place to Enjoy a Quiet Comfortable, and Wonderful Meal to finish the Day off after a Day of Whale watching,. Dillon was just the Best overnight, and Having a good Breakfast Ready at the Crack of Dawn for Us . And Grace was very kind , and Helpful with Making Our checkout quick , easy and Worry free .. Not anything to complain about. The Location is good, with access to anywhere you need to go.

The room was spacious and clean. The entry way was an engaging arrangement of floral arrangements and memorabilia. Continental breakfast was included with coffee, pastries, and breads/bagels. Parking was free. Finally, the staff was friendly and made me feel welcomed. Lastly, the shower was great - good pressure and good flow.

This is not a gripe - but if something could have been better, I think that the rooms and hallways could be updated a bit. The decorations, carpets, and accessories could have been in better shape, and a little brighter lighting would also be appreciated - especially in the hallways.

Had a very nice stay with a friend at Colts Neck Inn Hotel. Wanted to do a 2-night beach trip, and this place was much more affordable at this time of year than places of a similar ranking by the beach. The closest beach (Long Branch) is about 17 minutes away by car, so fairly close. If you want to drive a bit further, say 25-30, you can get to some nicer beach towns (Ocean Grove, Bradley Beach, Spring Lake). The room itself was very nice - very clean, the beds were quite comfy, lots of pillows with different firmless levels, powerful A/C, large bathroom with great shower, toiletries, etc. The hotel provides a very simple, but pleasant, continental breakfast (bagels, toast, apples, instant oatmeal packets, cereal/milk, cookies and freshly brewed coffee. There's a Keurig machine available at all times of the day, and the breakfast room - which was large and quite clean - can be used at any time of day -- which was a great place for my friend and I to eat our dinner which we brought in both nights. The breakfast room also had many board games for guests to play if interested. Friendly and helpful staff as well!

The only thing I'd add would be a water fountain somewhere in the building (there is none) AND a pitcher of water in the breakfast room for those who would like to drink some water with their breakfast. The hotel does provide bottles of water in each room, but none is provided in the breakfast room. I'm usually a fan of tap water, but the tap water does not taste good/has a sulfur taste.

This is not your standard hotel/motel format. The building is similar to an old mansion where they made changes to convert it into a motel. Had a unique look and feel that was nice compared to the standard hotels that most of us probably stay at.

Breakfast could have had more options but the coffee was hot and they did have cereal and bagels, so most people would probably be good with breakfast. I'm just getting fussy in my old age.

This is a handsome, older brick building on beautiful grounds. When you walk inside, the woodwork surrounds you and immediately you get the feeling of a comfortable, country-like inn. Friendly, helpful staff. Rooms were nicely appointed and a great bed with just the right firmness. 24 hour Keurig machine and a light, continental breakfast. Oh, and by the way, a fresh rose on the bedside table! Staff / leadership obviously is proud of their property and it shows. It's not new or modern - that's part of the charm.

I'm not a fan of window a/c units and I couldn't quite get this one adjusted the way I wanted, but that was minor.

I have a thing for vintage anything and the entire hotel just screamed vintage while also staying up to date with technology and was SUPER clean. My girlfriend and I stayed here for a few nights to visit the beach and honestly it was such a deal, the King suite is amazing and we for sure used the hot tub

The only thing I could say that was just eh was the breakfast, I thought there would’ve been eggs, sausage all of that, but it was pretty limited to breakfast pastries, jellies, cream cheese. It was still good though, the food was great.

The room was big, very nice and clean, nice decorated as well. The complimentary breakfast was perfect, the entire hotel building was very comfy feeling. Bedding was comfortable and I liked that it had extra mattress protectors on it.

I liked everything for the most part however the night staff was not friendly at all. If i could get him to answer or talk to me he wasn't very friendly. Other then that it was perfect.
