Holiday Inn - Long Island - ISLIP Arpt East, an IHG Hotel

The cleaning lady changed my sheets mid-stay after I had a minor bleeding problem. They also made sure we had fresh towels. They have a shuttle for rail and air that was really nice. The rooms were small but well designed to comfortably accommodate 2 adults in separate beds.

For a convention, the common areas were a little tight and it was difficult getting through sometimes. Sound from crowded hallway impacted my being able to hear speakers, so doors should have closed and sealed better in conference. There was no pool. But these were NOT significant issues as the attendance was limited to a maximum number of guests, which was met.

Very comfortable king size bed, room was on 3rd floor and facing the rear of the hotel, it was quiet, considering how close the hotel is to the highway. It's super easy to find from the Long Island Expressway. I had stayed at this location several times when it was a Ramada - since it's changed to a Holiday Inn - it is greatly improved in just about every way.

It would've been nice if there was a paper guide to the TV channels, pointing out what would generate charges, and what was free. The cabinet door over the fridge was hinged on the wrong side. A very minor issue though!

The facility was exceptionally maintained. The room, bed amenities were exceptional. We were very pleased as to how well the property was and looked. Check in literally took less than 5 minutes. The Sonoma restaurant was a very nice place and the wait staff were extremely accommodating and nice, no doubt then when we are in the area again we'll be staying here !!!

I cannot think of anything that comes to mind or that we experienced. There may not be a such thing as perfect but this place came pretty darn close.

Very comfortable hotel but somewhat remote for meal options. I took the LIRR train to Ronkonkoma and used their courtesy shuttle. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Buffet breakfast was overpriced and had bacon bits in the scrambled eggs which I did not want. For the event they were selling pizza slices and hamburgers in the lobby which was actually cheaper than their breakfast.

Bathroom was updated, clean, and nice. Bed was perfect. Had clean working fridge, coffee maker, and microwave. All used at some point. Plenty of power and USB outlets throughout the room. 3rd floor room, elevators worked quickly. Entire place was clean. Nice lobby restrooms as well. Staff was very responsive and helpful (toothpaste needed) and extra coffee/creamer/sugar was provided for this coffee drinker. Easy access to routes 83/495/27A.

Now these are petty and did not affect my stay. Things I noticed: 1) One of 2 towel hooks in bathroom was loose. 2) Curtain did not close fully to meet other side. 3) Carpet looked worn.

All good, comfortable bed, good helpful staff, nice facilities and gym, good location and newer side.

Marijuana smell on our hall this morning with kids all around - not good. Hotel needs to reinforce this is a problem they will not tolerate and fine those guests who violate this. It's becoming WAY to common at hotels, people smoking drugs in their rooms and thinking it's ok. It's NOT ok!

Seek Excellent treatment from staff, at check in and in restaurant (Sonoma Grill). Restaurant/ bar large, with many screens throughout. Prices seem high, but real value for money. Portions large. Had excellent Bluepoint Hazy IPA on draft, and Linguine Bellagio (cooked with a scampi sauce 😋)- way too large to finish, even though I was starving. Took rest to room for later meal. Shower was walk-in type, large showerhead with good pressure. Hair dryer in bathroom shelf. King bed very comfy, ac/heat unit worked extremely well. Small fridge and microwave in room, with Keurig coffee maker. Large sitting chair with leg rest in corner, small slideable table at good height for chair, also had ergonomic chair. Plenty of outlets, at tables with lamps, on each side of bed. Room little small but well laid out. King room under $120 for a Saturday night stay reserved 10 days in advance was amazing value. Will alawys seek this hotel in future.

Minor complaint- if you have room in 1st floor section, ice machine on 2nd floor by elevator.

Nice 3star hotel. 24 hr reception, staff there very helpful and professional. We wpuld come back again.

We had two rooms: room toward 495 very loud (AC unit and street noise). Room on other side was much more quiet. Very humid, towels or beach cloths would not dry. No coffee etc in lobby… only seperate restaurant connected to hotel.

Upon arrival we were greeted well. When asked what we were there for we said "to purchase a puppy nearby". At that point the woman checking us in asked us multiple questions which were unnerving suggesting that we may not be able to trust the breeder. This had a very negative impact on our initial experience. I would have spoken with her about it directly however I was taken aback at the time and she was not at the desk in the morning.

Staff is very friendly and eager to help with anything. Plenty of amenities including a large fitness center and laundry rooms. The hotel is in very good condition. I really liked the on-site restaurant: outstanding staff and food, particularly for breakfast. (Hot breakfasts include more than the menu shows, are expertly prepared, and are free for qualifying stays.) Rooms include a large TV, fridge (no freezer, but ice is available), and microwave. A short drive from plenty of good places. Beds are very soft with lots of soft pillows. Quiet at night.

Housekeeping intruded despite the privacy door tag (even opening my door!) and wasn't adequately cleaning some surfaces. (Staff were responsive to my complaints.) My room change didn't go smoothly. Guests weren't informed of work being done in the parking lots. The hotel is very noisy during the day. Not many places you can walk to. In some rooms, it isn't possible to run the heat/AC fan continuously. Beds elevate the feet and lower the head.
