Danfords Hotel & Marina

Danford’s was recently renovated, the rooms are light and the wallpaper had a nautical theme. We stayed in the Galley Building, across from the main hotel, next door to the Fifth Season restaurant and our room had a working fireplace. We were received one complimentary log per day and paid $10 for any extras we requested, this added to the romantic ambiance of the room. During our second week, when we let the manager know we had terrible internet connectivity, and realized we had booked a room with the fireplace, she moved us to The Galley Building. There was a mesh router, and great internet connectivity so we were able to work from our room.

Initially our room was very cold, we were finally able to get someone to fix the heating. During our previous, stay the week before we were in the Driftwood building and had terrible internet connectivity. The main challenge we had was there was only one chair in the room and no real desk for working.

The room was spacious, the beds were very comfortable, the showers have good pressure, the customer service was helpful, quick, and polite, Nice new wood look flooring, AC, the location was right near the water and the town, there were comfortable chairs and pretty flowers outside.

The outside walkway of our building needs to be redone because some of the wood under the outdoor carpet was soft near the steps. It was not unsafe because of the carpet, but it was off putting. The price of the room is very high for us.

Proximity to the beach, nice balcony, beautiful fireplace, comfortable bed, good shower, very nice staff and reception.

Checkin at 4pm and check out at 11 am times are way too short. You hardly have time to enjoy the property. The plastic flower pot on the sink counter was dusty. For 5 hours gap cleaning, there’s is enough time to run it under the faucet.

This is the second time our family stayed at Danford's Hotel, and we loved the clean and comfortable bedding, and the Veranda with the Salty breeze filtering in from the Sound. The staff is friendly, caring and knowledgeable, and we really enjoyed our stay there. Pt. Jefferson is filled with lovely people and places to visit and to eat, and this is a great location for any visit.

Honestly, there should be a way to open the windows that are not on the 'public' side ~ for a sea breeze. Screens would be lovely so people can sleep with a window open. Otherwise, we really enjoyed the location, the lodgings and everything else about our stay. Thank you!

So,overall a great time. the view is beautiful and the property relatively modern and clean. Overall, the staff was friendly, and a special shout out to Destiny. She was pitching in in every fashion and always so kind and polite with a positive attitude!

It was just the beginning of their season, so there were a few hiccups with breakfast (which is delicious by the way) waits being long, and the cappuccino machine being broken. Also, as the summer season progresses and breakfast is part of the new mandatory resort fee I highly recommend adding cold brew to the offerings!

The manager was fabulous and assisted our family, including my elderly dad with moving rooms to the waterfront building

We booked thinking we were going to be sound front and when we arrived, we were put in the building across the street. When we mentioned, we were accommodated the next day.

The updated rooms were nice and comfortable. Cute location. Most of the staff were nice and helpful.

The outside could use a little updating, on certain buildings. As nice as it was in certain ways I think maybe the price is a bit high for what there is around.

Location was perfect for my short time there. Nicely situated as well from the main street which was a short walk away to all the restaurants and stores. Room was clean and spacious with a really nice bathroom

Beautiful hotel, amazing view of the marina, very clean, wonderful landscaping, nice staff.

When booking village view, the rooms are in a separate building across the street. Also nice old building, but was not aware that it is further from the marina. Also the spa was under renovation which was not announced ahead, no word on the website or the spa's voicemail. That was a bit disappointing since I looked specifically for a hotel with spa...

Perfect room, perfect view, friendly and helpful staff, clean

The bathroom door was a bit hard to close and open, might need a refitting maybe? the wifi was a bit spotty. There was also noise from the ferry but i think thats a given considering we're staying close to the port so that's just that and honestly it wasnt too bad either
