Residence Inn Middletown Goshen

When I booked our rooms I asked to have them close together because we were three adults traveling with 5 year old and 11 month old children. Before our trip, the hotel contacted me to ask whether I'd prefer connecting rooms. That set the tone for the treatment we received at the hotel. Staff was always available to help with such friendly demeanors. Our children loved that. The breakfasts offered a nice selection of foods allowing us to choose between hot meals or cold. This is a family friendly hotel that also appears to have loyal returning business travelers. There is a fire pit between the hotel lobby and the swimming pool where guests and their children gather in the evening so the atmosphere is such a friendly and fun vacation spot for all.

Indoor pools never feel comfortable. The enclosed space makes the chlorine smell overwhelming and acoustics are always awful. I prefer outdoor pools, but understand that they may not be practical in the snowbelt. We stayed here with Legoland being our main attraction. Legoland is as pricey as Disneyland, but with out the cache. We did discover many things to do in the area, though. There were country fairs (one with a pie eating contest), Bear Mountain's fabulous, huge outdoor swimming pool and a trail zoo (not suitable for baby carriages, but great for children.

Welcoming from the time we walked in, everything looked & felt clean, Rooms were perfect for us, Staff was friendly, attentive, & professional. Laundry area was perfect & easy to use. Pool & gym were a plus & both well taken care of. Complimentary breakfast was great & exceeded our expectations. The staff member serving breakfast impressed us from the moment we saw her. Professional, timely, accommodating, all around A+. I manage a small resort property upstate & would hire her in a heart beat- she is what anyone in hospitality should strive for. The kitchen area in our room was remarkable. It was well stocked with anything you could possibly need. The appliances & small wares provided literally looked brand new. House keeping at this facility is on-point. Supplying a packaged ‘Scrub Daddy’ sponge, small sealed bottle of dish liquid, & dishwasher detergent is a great touch! It shows you go the extra mile to provide for your guests. Any questions or information you might need were easy to find on the interactive TV under ‘Hotel Info’.

I can’t think of anything we didn’t like. This is not a negative at all just a note- It would be nice to be able to have a drink at the pool. I 100% understand the no food or drink policy at the pool- the liability of broken glass alone is enough, not mentioning the mess, need to now staff the pool, etc. My only comment is maybe to consider allowing beverages in plastic cups or plastic bottles only. Again, I totally understand this & was impressed at how well maintained all the facilities were kept. This did not affect our experience one bit.

We were visiting family so we did not eat breakfast at this location. Eating at the hotel would mean I'd be too full to eat breakfast with my father, and that would be a problem ;) It did look good though- actual hot food that's a level above typical hotel breakfast.

Honestly everything was great- nothing was disappointing. I appreciated the staff taking Covid seriously. If I didn't have my young child with me I might have been slightly let down by the bar being closed but I assume that's because of Covid concerns (especially when cases were rising rapidly in NY).

Everything was excellent. The facility was clean and modern. The bar had excellent drinks. Breakfast had so many options including waffles. They had a heated swimming pool not at 7 o’clock in the morning it doesn’t warm until 8am. They have a gym, the rooms are beyond exceptional. They have everything you could possibly need. Fully stocked with everything for the kitchen, more than enough towels, very warm and comfortable bed. I was very happy. I would definitely come back and recommend this place to so many people. The staff was joyful and pleasant. Including housekeeping. Everybody was perfect. Everything was perfect.

Absolutely nothing. If I could stay for a few days I would’ve done so.

Practically perfect. We have two small dogs, they were comfortable as well. Comfortable bed for us. Great shower. Plenty of room. Breakfast. Nothing important to complain about.

My tell tale is always behind the bed side tables. In every hotel we stay I always look there too see how well the cleaning was done. There always seems to be something behind them. This time a lozenge on one side and a gummy vitamin on the other. But hey it beats the toenail I found at a Hampton once.

very clean, great selection of breakfast, nice size pool, bedroom suite perfect for a family stay! the dining table with 4 seats are great. right across a supermarket and 10-15 min away from legoland!

if your neighbor is loud, you can probably hear them in the middle of the night but I guess that’s the same for all hotels.

The free breakfast and layout of dining area, the updated facilities. Loved the bed, lights, swivel television.

I didn't know the room was a double room meaning I didn't know there would be a door between 2 rooms. Also, oatmeal needs to be served daily! It was delicious 😋

property was recently updated , well decorated for the holiday season and extremely clean. The staff is extremely pleasant they go above and beyond .

the food from the bar was ok ..

the location is quiet. the facility is beautiful, and the staff went above and beyond for us and my family for my daughters wedding event near by

Room was excellent, staff was very nice, breakfast was good, location was good.

Pool was a little cold but Im nitpicking. It was still nice to have.
