Hampton Inn Rochester - Irondequoit

The room was clean and comfortable with expected furnishings and amenities; typical of standard Hampton Inn rooms. Staff was friendly, and we were granted an early check in upon calling the hotel that morning.

The location was in a somewhat "run down" area, but we did not feel unsafe at any time (note we did park in the front lot though, which seemed more safe/secure). The air conditioning wasn't working in our room; we set the wall thermostat but the room did not cool down to the selected temperature. We did not contact the front desk about this though, since we were out most of the day/evening and only in the room to sleep. Also, the price seemed rather high based on the location.

We traveled for 12 days and stayed in Hampton's all but one night. We really enjoyed the consistency of the facilities from one location to another. Like being home each night. The one night we stayed at a competitor was really a downer. Went back to Hampton next night and liked the consistency of accomodations.

Some of the breakfast items were not great ie. Oatmeal was bad in some locations.

We had a very nice and pleasant experience. The staff is excellent. The spectacular pool.

The only thing I didn't like was that the fridge in the room was damaged and it took them a long time to change it and the snacks and food that we kept in the fridge were damaged and they did not return the food to me. And the supervisor treated me very badly

The size of the room and room arrangement. Love tall mirror . I need to see my entire body . Usually hotels have chest half way mirror . The stuffs are very nice but I was expecting cleaning every morning that all hotels does . However the didn’t clean the room every morning except for u requested that I found out later . Other than that great to stay . Free bunch breakfast is so delicious too . We will visit/ book again next trip .

Engaging, helpful staff that was family friendly and showed refreshing hospitality. Pool was great diversion for the kids, breakfast was hot and fresh.

Elevator car 2 made some concerning noises on the way up to the fourth floor, but the front desk said a company was coming to fix it and it was safe to use.

The location near family members, clean and comfortable bed in the room.

I was told breakfast is from 6am to 10am, when my husband and I arrived to breakfast the next day a little after 9:30am there was no more potatoes and the workers there were saying that’s all their is and no one’s making more. My husband was really upset with their laziness.

Great location. Was in the middle of shopping and restaurants. The staff went above and beyond to satisfy your needs. Staff greets you with care.

Understanding with the snow. But felt the parking lot was not clean up from snow, which made the parking was minimal. The room could use some TLC. Lots of water damage in bathroom.. and damage to the TV stand. There was no maintenance on duty.. Felt the snow removal should of been taken care of.

Dave when we checked in and when I went down at 4a.m. to write and when we check out was pleasant, friendly, sociable and Ella in the breakfast room the same, wonderful experience when people are kind, accommodating and setting the mood right! LOVED the glass pumpkin soap dispenser which Dave honestly admitted was not his expertise! We enjoyed talking with both Dave & Ella.

Would love ceramic or glass coffee mugs in the room. I also brought a nightlight...so bathroom trips in the night.

That location is good, Target just 3minute driving.

OMG! swimming pool need water changing. It was too dirty. People hair was floating in the water, and there were bubbles, but strange white bubbles were floating around. And it looked like a runny nose. Just thinking about it makes me Disgusting.

Location was very good for the activities we had planned for our trip.

We were initially assigned Rm 204, AC did not work. The front desk person was very responsive to the issue but was unable to resolve the problem so she moved us to Rm 209. Room needs updating, tub faucet very loose in the wall in 209. Beds were not as comfortable as they usually are in a Hilton property. Rooms need updating, office chair in both rooms were badly stained.
