Brookstone Lodge near Biltmore Village, Ascend Hotel Collection

I did like the location. Was nice and secluded while still within a short driving distance from everything we did.

I did not like the no pet policy. I was disappointed with the breakfast. For the money it needs to improve by leaps and bounds. Or just don't have breakfast. I was given the horrible excuse of COVID. People, COVID is over two years old if you haven't learned to live with it you need to reach out to other companies who have. At this point it's just a "lazy" or "ignorance" excuse not to do something.

The beds were comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a really good location.

The fan in the bathroom doesn't turn on when you turn in the lights. So, the bathroom holds a lot of humidity. The room is humid as well unless you have the AC turned down low. The housekeeping ladies were loud during the morning hours when we were trying to rest after working night shift. By loud, I mean yelling to each other down the hall, hitting up against our door with their equipment multiple times, excessively slamming doors next to us and across from us despite having the"do not disturb" sign on the door.

Check in was easy, But room wouldn't be ready for 3 hours, cleaning staff were at lunch. However when explained that we had a wedding to get ready for, I was offered immediate check-in to the same Rm. # but for an additional charge of $25.00. Either the room was ready or not - - it didn't change readiness in 2 minutes - just in $$. All else was good, great room, and friendly staff.

Since the room was actually ready immediately, it would have been better business not to charge for an early check-in. You know? " Service with a smile- the customer comes first," and no room changes or extra clean-up was involved since my room was already confirmed and ready for occupancy. Small item , but irritating. I had ironing to do for husband and self,+ bathing, and dressing and really needed the time. So I paid in $$

I never stayed at a Lodge before because I always taught about the one the begins with an E and no shade but it's a no for me. However after seeing the pictures and the pricing I decided to book the room here. This is a great location if heading to Biltmore or around town. We frequently visit Asheville but this was our first stay at this hotel. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. It was spacious and I loved the extra seating and tables as well. We didn't visit the pool because we were exhausted. Breakfast was good typical continental set up and the staff kept on top of things when they got low. The water pressure in the shower was amazing and parking was onsite and easy.

The bathroom lighting could've been a little brighter to me. My husband didn't notice at all but I love a well lit bathroom vanity area especially when applying makeup. However this is Asheville so a little powder, brow and mascara is all you need.

Location was just off the interstate and was about 10 minutes from downtown. The Biltmore Estate was about 5 minutes away. Easy access to the mountains as well. The breakfast was simple and included fried eggs, sausages, waffles, cereal, oatmeal, bagels, pastries, juices, and coffee. The room and lobby area was overall nice and clean. And it was quiet

I was content with most things.

Room was clean, close to everything . Friendly staff. After putting us in the wrong room, when I brought it to their attention, they quickly put us in the right room.

They advertised a mountain window view. They did not have any mountain window views. They should not be advertising this feature, as that was one of the reasons, that I booked that particular room. Very disappointed and angry.

I was there for two nights and never met a staff member that wouldn't go out of their way to make us happy. I was very pleased with them. Though the facility was a little out of the way, the price well made up for it. Thank you for a great stay. The walls were very thick and I never heard the people in the room beside me, only those in the halls. A big plus for me! Plenty of room for our family of four to move around as well.

Those pull out couches are so uncomfortable. My son just laid his sheet on the couch itself and slept on it.

The room was clean and spacious. We could've used some more drawers for belongings (there was only one). The location was great for us for our trip to the Biltmore Estate, and access to the highway for access to restaurants and to venture further out.

Only a couple of things that could have been better: It would have been nice to be able to check in early so we could do so prior to our wedding rehearsal. Also, breakfast was a bit underwhelming; there was food, but no hot breakfast other than waffles you made yourself or breakfast sandwiches to put in the microwave.

We absolutely loved this place! Everything about it - size, location, cleanliness, bed was the most comfortable ever at a hotel! Sheldon checked us in and he was wonderful! The window treatment was unique - 2 blinds, one sheer to let light in and one room darkening. Brilliant! So much better than heavy drapes. Will definitely stay here again!!

Check-out person wasn't very friendly.... had one small issue of the refrigerator freezing our food and the control knob was broken so we couldn't adjust the temp. I shared that at checkout just so they could fix it for the next guest, and she seemed uninterested, no "customer service recovery" attempt. It was fine, but, for someone else it might have been a much bigger issue.....

it was in a convenient spot. right off the interstate, close to biltmore house and downtown area. breakfast was included with the stay. Sheldon at the front desk was very nice and very helpful.

Pool and fitness center were small. no jacuzzi anymore. even though it was a heated pool the water was cold and not as clean as it should have been. since we were only staying four nights we didn’t have housekeeping. we had to bag our own garbage and leave it by the door. we had to get our own towels and toilet paper when we needed replacements.
