Holiday Inn Charlotte Airport, an IHG Hotel

The motel was in a good location to Arena, clean, had a restaurant, had snack machines, pool, ice, the room was very nice and clean. The room had DOVE body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion in nice hard bottles on the wall. We had plenty of towels, beds slept good.

Only issue I had was I booked thru booking.com, they charged me 2 weeks before my stay. Then when I got to motel the motel had no proof of payment, so I had to pay again and then deal with booking.com when I got back. I had to pay b/c the area was sold out and so was this motel.

Had an un-anticipated layover in Charlotte and luckily picked this hotel. The airport shuttle service is excellent, very professional, punctual and friendly. Front desk staff the best I’ve had the pleasure to deal with, lately. My king room lacked nothing. You can walk to a 7/11 for a few cold beers and snacks. Unfortunately I didn’t have time for the pool nor breakfast but if I ever return to Charlotte without a doubt I will stay here.

Close to the airport, very convenient, 24 hour shuttle to the airport.

Restaurant service staff- they were all nice and friendly, but seemed very unorganized with constant trips to the kitchen. They didn’t give all 3 of the menus (menu, pizza menu, and drink menu) to everyone. Man was eyeing our pizza and couldn’t find it on the menu, so I went and got him the other menu. Often there was no wait staff in the dining room with customers. Better organization might help this!

Room was spotless clean, and the hotel is very close to the Airport, shuttle service was grate and I could leave my car at a very reasonable price.

Elevator floor was nasty dirty, and the elevator smelled really bad. They give you discount coupons for the restaurant, I wanted to have dinner, stood there waiting to be assigned a table, 5 min and even though they saw me, they did not come, so I left.

Hotel was very clean, as was the room and it was quiet. The beds were comfortable. Buffet breakfast was hot and fresh. Server on Saturday was very accommodating.

Front desk staff was very slow on check-in and did not call for help until after we had been waiting in line for 10 minutes. Saturday morning front desk staff was not very friendly either when I had an issue checking out.

Our flight was delayed and we needed a last minute place to stay near the airport. We were really only here for 5 hours before we had to catch our morning flight but it was a fine enough hotel for a place to rest. The shuttle to the airport was very efficient.

You could hear quite a bit of noise from the corridors - doors slamming and people arriving. I think this was mainly due to the large number of travellers arriving throughout the night due to American Airlines flight cancellations so it's hard to know if there is normally so much noise at this hotel.

We had left early for our flight and is was delayed again. The staff let us come back for a late checkout so we could rest and not be at the airport all day.

Breakfast buffet was a bit pricey but very good. Without Google GPS it would have been hard to find hotel. Closest gate was closed and signs weren't too visible.

good food in restaurant and open late enough to have a late dinner if arriving late from airport. staff is super friendly and the shuttle drivers are the best we've had, only a 5 min. ride, but they were super friendly and prompt.

The fellow at the front Desk at 1130 at night was great! Very sad that I did not get his name. But he was in a huge pressure given the nightmare of weather and everybody leaving planes that were on the tarmac running to hotels. But he kept his cool and was just amazing

The staff were very friendly and the shuttle was sent to the airport as soon as I called. The hotel is quite nice, the rooms are spacious, and the beds are very comfortable. Breakfast was also very good.

The tub/shower did not drain well and is definitely due for an upgrade. While breakfast was delicious, the buffet might be a bit small for the price ($16.95, I believe) - I would not have indulged if it wasn't included with my room.
