The location is perfect. Can walk to Avalon Pier, Awful Arthurs. Road out front (Hwy. 12) is a little busy during the day, but at night it's quiet. Favorite feature was our second floor front deck with semi-ocean and pier view.

Parking our Ford F250 was a challenge. Only 2 vehicles fit into the driveway. Didn't feel comfortable parking at the 2 vacant lots nearby. Our deck swing was lying in the corner-not sure if it was broken. The door from the hallway going onto the Pier View room front deck is accessible for other guests. When we arrived another family was eating at the picnic table. We couldn't have the sliding glass door open at night for safety reasons. Can't have the windows open because there aren't any screens and bugs come in. The flood light shining onto the pool also shines into the bedroom so it's pretty bright.

Loved the fact we were able to bring our dog. We stayed in the Pier View room and it was really nice having the entire middle floor of the porch. The porch was entirely closed in as well so our dog was able to hang out without us worrying about her getting off the porch/patio. Loved the pool, jacuzzi tub in the room, light breakfast items, wine and snacks in the afternoon and the short walk to the pier! We had a great time and will definitely return.

Good central location. We really enjoyed the fact that after the initial booking, we didn't have to find a realty office to pick up and drop of keys. The house was simply and comfortably appointed. The stay was relaxing and our host Mike was very gracious and accommodating. I enjoyed his music selections very much. We would definitely stay here again.

I retired from factory maintenance in 2020. It is something that I can't turn off. With that being said, I noticed a few things that needed some repair. The only thing that somewhat affected our stay was an extremely slow moving bathroom sink, which I was able to plunger to remedy.

The location so close to the beach. The pool on the grounds ( although needed to be cleaned) the room was nice. The manager played great music. The balcony on our room was lovely. The staff were very nice and felt very safe there as well.

I wished the food that was left out covered, there were flies everywhere. . Pool could have been cleaned.

It was our first time in Kill Devil Hills It was a very nice home and It was super close to the beach! The room was cozy with a nice view from the deck. The owner was very nice! He provided breakfast and afternoon snacks!! The pool was clean and had a great temperature!!

Nothing! Some of the other guests were loud in the early morning but that is not the owners fault.

Location is wonderful. Love the facility and the ability to bring our dog.

Unfortunately, the bathtub in our room didn't drain and the lights were very dim. There were also a few "critters" under the toaster in the kitchen. We rinsed our feet each time before we came in, but an outdoor shower might have been helpful to get the rest of the sand off.

Loved the quaintness and the little breakfast and happy hour set up. We enjoyed going around and doing our own thing while also being able to bring our pup along. We came to the beach for our Honeymoon and we loved every minute of it.

Only issue we had was that no one could figure out where to put trash/ if we had a dumpster for the house.

Convenient to everywhere I wanted to go ❣️I loved it & I especially loved the jacuzzi ❣️

I was on the 2nd floor. That was my fault that I didn’t inquire about ground floor rooms. I walk with a cane. However, when I book another stay & there are only 2nd floor rooms I still want to stay there ❣️

Comfortable room. Pet friendly. Beach access across the street. Good value especially during season.

I didn’t have any negative issues

The location was great which made it easy to get around. The property and the room were exceptionally clean as well.

The only negative was that there was no one there to connect with once you arrive and the breakfast was really bad.
