Outer Banks Inn

On the same street as a beach access point, maybe a 5 minute walk to get there. We walked basically everywhere, the location is awesome. Free internet. It’s a great budget hotel in a pinch since we booked a room only a week before our trip.

Room didn’t have a safe or an iron/ironing board, both times I went to the front desk no one was there. Room was a bit outdated decor-wise but we mainly used our stay here as a place to sleep. If you plan on staying in your room a lot I’d be wary of choosing this place.

The owners and housekeeper went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and felt welcomed! I got my $100 cleaning deposit back within 2 minutes of checking out!! The rooms were very clean and smelled nice also!!

My only complaint is I was not told ahead of time the pool was out of service. Even though it was a bit cold outside my kids wanted to swim in the pool. The pool was a huge reason I booked my stay at the Outer Banks Inn but unfortunately it was out of service and I was not told until the kids were about to literally jump in the pool! That is my only complaint!

No breakfast due to COVID but we don’t usually do hotel breakfast so was no biggie to us. Free coffee daily tho.

Rooms could be arranged better to make the most of the space and a rehab of rooms would make this place a perfect 10. Stayed for 7 days. If you just need a place to sleep and shower and room size is not an issue, this is a great place. All in what you need and your choice and budget.

The Inn is centrally located to all your needs. You can walk to the beach. Drug stores, restaurants, ice cream across the street. The rooms were simple and clean. The ac worked, fridge kept things cold, tv worked, this room had a small table with 2 chairs that allowed for card games, dining, computer work. A good value for the money.

It’s an older place. The floors creak and the walls are thin. The washer and dryer are old (rusted) and you have to pay to use them. The only way up are the stairs, several trips, hard on us with knee issues. Bedding was thin and towels were tiny.

Convenient location, clean facilities, the pool was nice and clean and enjoyable. Check-in was at 4 but I appreciated that they called me at 1:30 to let me know that my room was already cleaned and ready for my arrival. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

While loading our car in the morning before check out, our keys were deactivated so that became a complication when we were trying to get on the road

There was no breakfast, but we weren’t expecting any. There was coffee which we did not try. The bedspreads were kind of old and tired looking and that would help a lot to gain a five star review. Nice artwork in the rooms.

I have stayed at the Outer Bank Inn before and went back because of the clean rooms, clean pool, very friendly staff. We were able to eat outside at picnic tables while family enjoyed the pool, Location is great for our needs, close to family that live in OBX as well as close enough for our Marine grandson to drive to from his base in NC. Perfect family environment, everyone from the staff to other patrons are always friendly. A great place to stay

My daughter and I LOVED our stay at Outer Banks Inn! Extremely friendly staff, large rooms, very clean, great location, and many amenities! We were well taken care of, and had a wonderful experience!

Everything was excellent!

No breakfast but excellent free coffee! Wonderful clean outdoor pool. Paid for clothes dryer use - only $1.00!

Our room was on the ground floor so we could hear walking above us. Location is right on the highway so you can hear traffic when sitting outside. But I would still recommend this property.

I absolutely loved the people at the front desk they were awesome and very nice the hotel room was a little older but very well maintained. The cleaning staff was very nice as well they made sure that we had everything that we needed thank you so much for a wonderful stay we will definitely be back. And also they have an awesome location literally a block from the local beach access and less than a mile from pretty much any food you can think of.

The only thing that was a disappointment was that the pool was closed but I can understand because of Covid-19.
