Hotel Indigo - Winston-Salem Downtown, an IHG Hotel

The hotel was very clean with lovely mid-mod decor in a great location. The waitstaff was friendly and the apps we had at the on-site restaurant were delicious. I'm a fairly light sleeper and can be picky about mattresses and pillows but I found theirs to be extremely comfortable and I slept very well both nights. There are tons of great restaurants and bars nearby and we were able to walk to most of our destinations.

I would've liked to know ahead of time that the rooms don't have a fridge, microwave, etc. We also had to ask for more than one towel and there is only bar soap. These aren't dealbreakers for me but I would have planned accordingly if I'd known. I was also disappointed that they don't ever seem to offer late check-outs so we had to haul our things to our car (parked nearby in a separate garage for $14/day) the morning of our last day.

The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly and the location was in a nice part of the city with shops and restaurants nearby.

The valet parking was an issue. There wasn't enough space for us to even leave our car so we had to park it around the corner and give the valet the key with hopes he would move it. The next morning the valet walked around the neighborhood clicking our car key trying to find where they put our car so they clearly didn't put it in the lot around the corner where we had expected it to go.

A stylish, modern hotel. Centrally located in Winston Salem. Helpful staff. Housekeeping team particularly cheerful and generous with fresh towels etc. Good value for money. Having stayed in a few hotels in WS this is certainly top of the list and I would definitely recommend.

Difficult to find fault with this hotel.

lobby bar, restaurant, convenient downtown location

overlooked construction zone, no view of the beautiful city. Rooms were clean; but very small. elevator was right outside my door and very loud in the morning. compared to Kimpton Cardinal just across the street, which is the same price (and was actually a couple dollars lower for this same night) it doesn't measure up.

Beautiful rooms with nice, high ceilings. A nice bar area. Great city centre location.

An ice machine on each floor would have been nice, especially when travelling with small children in hot weather. The hotel bar also seemed to close quite early but I don't know if that was a legal requirement.

Location was great, within walking distance of tons of great restaurants (highly recommend Kranky's for coffee and breakfast). Staff was extremely friendly and the gentleman at the front desk even remembered who we were and that we were in town for a wedding.

Parking was not great. Had to park around the block because it seems they're building/renovating in what was their parking lot. If that's the case then this isn't even an ongoing issue. Other than that, nothing.

Everyone was nice and helpful! The room was nice and clean. The location was great too, very nice downtown area. They only offer valet parking but the price was worth the convenience for us.

My only complaint is that the sheets were a little thin and fitted bed sheet didn’t not fit so it kept popping off the sides no matter how many times we tried to put it back on

Randall was exceptional at providing excellent customer service. He made me feel super comfortable during my first visit to Winston Salem, NC.

Just wonderful from start to finish. The staff was over-the-top friendly at every moment. Flexible and friendly front desk staff; efficient, delightful and very kind valet staff. The rooms were clean, bright, and very comfortable. Our dogs were welcomed like celebrities.The breakfast at clementines greatly Exceeded expectations. Overall, a truly lovely experience.

Great location. Walking distance to everything we wanted to check out downtown.

The room's bed was so high that I could not get into it without any help. I use a wheelchair and requested an ADA room. Everything but the bed was accessible. The bed should have been much lower.
