Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Dickinson

Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Pool was great for a little fun after being on the road. Rooms were comfortable and provided everything we needed, even had laundry facilities provided on each floor!

My family enjoyed the breakfast but I feel it could have been done better. Mainly the eggs- needed seasoning and to be broken up, they were served in big clumps. The coffee was just ok. I would have loved if they provided a non dairy milk for coffee and cereal. Possibly an almond milk.

When got into our room we found the toilet to be inoperable. I called the front desk and they said they would get maintenance up right away. A few minutes later they called and said the maintenance man was in the middle of a large pool repair and asked if they could move us across the hall. We said of course, we have not even started unpacking our suit cases. The front desk woman was up within 5 minutes and moved us across the hall to a up graded suite! That's great service!!

The breakfast was fine. The location was great for us. We really liked the room and its amenities. The mattresses were very comfortable!

We were not happy with the fact that there was a barking dog in a room close to us. The people had left in the room while they went somewhere and it barked and barked. This happened several times. We talked to the front desk about it and weren't especially happy with the response. We also had a very poor shower head and a faucet in the tub that leaked like a sieve. The dog situation would make us think twice about staying there again.

The staff had a difficult time with checking me in. When I left after the second night there, May 6th I didn’t feel comfortable in that it appeared my room was charged to a Mastercard, which I don’t have. I had told them when I checked in on May 6th that I did not have a MC, again when I checked out. They said “don’t worry about it” and in the am on the 7th that they didn’t know how to fix it. I am wondering how this will play out. :(

We loved the spaciousness of the room. There was plenty of room to lay things out and not feel like we were tripping over them or each other. We selected a double queen suite and it had a kitchenette and attached table/desk. The breakfast options included fruit and oatmeal. There is a indoor pool that we utilized while staying at the hotel. A Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant and grocery store are both within walking distance. The hotel is in a more recently developed area of Dickinson and away from the downtown and other established areas which worked to our liking. The hotel was at max capacity that weekend and felt crowded at times in the hallways, elevator areas, and in the breakfast room but once we were in our rooms we hardly could hear noise from the hallways or rooms above/below ours. We will definitely consider this hotel the next time we stay in Dickinson.

We have been traveling across the US and most places the front staff have not paid any attention. Jennifer was very pleasant and welcoming. Later she even lead us to where we could wash the locust off our car. Dylan at night was also very friendly helping us with an issue in our room. Jennifer even greeted my daughter the next morning at breakfast(my daughter loved her and the donut was a bonus). The two staff members were wonderful.

Our room was nicely decorated, new and comfortable. I appreciated that the room seemed to have a well sealed door (which msny hotels do not have) and even though we were quite close to the lobby and breakfast room it seemed nice and quiet.The staff was friendly and the complimentary breakfast offered a nice variety. We arrived late so didn't have a chance to check out the pool, exercise room, etc. so I can't comment on those facilities.

The fridge fan seemed quite noisy but didn't end up disturbing our sleep. The only real negative was that I noticed that the top of the toilet rim was not properly cleaned which can be a bit of a turn off.

The Front Desk staff were all amazing! So Friendly and helpful at all times.. the kitchen person was amazing also! Really liked the rooms were so nice and spacious. The pool area was also very nice as well as the gym area!

The bed was alittle more firm than i would like. Coffee was cold when off hours, so that was inconvenient for those who like coffee at all hours.

The location was awesome for our trip. It was nice having a full kitchen and would be great for a family with children, but I don’t cook while on vacation.

The breakfast was adequate but something as simple as plain cheerios for gluten free dietary needs would be helpful. Also the decaf was just warm each morning, and I needed to reheat it in the microwave.

The rooms were spacious, beds comfortable, kitchenette amazing. The pool was well maintained . Breakfast had a variery5of choices. Doors were heavy and rooms fairly sound proof.

The waffle iron wasn't working at breakfast, only half of us got sausage, then they didn't bring anymore out. When I asked if there were more eggs the attendant was rather rude about it. There was still your breads and cereal even if the other stuff wasn't stocked up I guess, just hard to keep the proteins it seems.
