La Quinta by Wyndham Dickinson

My son, mother, and I traveled in a circle that started at the Great Salt Lake and circled back to Denver, hitting (among other things) Yellowstone, Big Horn, Rushmore, and N Dakota along the way. We stopped for the night in Dickinson, and the nice fella behind the counter set us up well, with an additional roll away for my son. We had driven that day from Yellowstone to Dickinson, so we were absolutely exhausted, but it was the most comfortable night's sleep we had on the trip. Highly recommended and the staff were friendly.

No complaints.

Breakfast area was very nice. Would have liked the option of something warm to eat. The employee managing the breakfast area was also managing the front desk, so she was busy, but managed to keep the coffee flowing.

No masks despite the sign still posted that masks were mandatory. Maybe change the sign to masks appreciated. Despite being fully vaccinated, we wore our masks while inside with the exception of eating/drinking. Felt like we were being looked at like aliens. Coming from a state with increased COVID restrictions, it was disappointing to find almost everyone without a mask.

Lashonda(?I'm horrible with names) The employee working (from new jersey) was delightful! She was so kind, professional, polite, helpful! She was so accommodating in the wee hours of the morning it was absolutely the best hotel check in I have experienced and walking into the building I was very frustrated and upset She turned my horrible mindset right around! If you can find an employee anymore it seems they are there to take up space not to go above & beyond. She went above & beyond which is very much appreciated! She clearly has job pride and cares about her employer!

Everything was wonderful!

This was a Golf trip traveling through Dickinson. Location was very good. Property was very nice.

I booked and paid for four rooms through bookings.com. When I arrived at the property, they indicated only three were purchased. I then paid again for the fourth room at the property but let staff know this was incorrect. Over the last three days I have spent more than three hours, talking to both the property manager and bookings.com to no resolution. I will not use bookings.com in the future.

Nice big rooms. Breakfast. The common area was comfortable. Wednesday night pizza was a great surprise

The pool was too cold. Way too cold. Pretty much unuseable. For some who choose a hotel BECAUSE it has a pool, you may be disappointed. Pillows weren't too great. Fridge barely kept things cool.

The front desk gal, Sekoya, was outstanding! She really took the time to be patient with the extremely long line of everyone arriving at once. And she made sure everyone was treated in a timely manner and with her full attention to address all needs. She's a keeper & you are lucky to have a skill like that in a front desk employee!

There was no bedding in our king suite room for the fold out sofa bed. It was a quick fix. Just would have been great if it had been in the room. The pool felt like bath water but I'm sure it is hard with an indoor pool to keep it cool.

The coffee was good at breakfast, the whole building was very clean and comfortable. Nice guy at the reception desk.

The coffee was good but but I’m more of a scrambled eggs and bacon/sausage person, rather than hard boiled eggs, and there was only one type of yogurt, the type I don’t like. But if you like carbs for breakfast, this breakfast is for you. Also, there was BARELY any water pressure, so the shower was almost non-existant.

It was clean, inviting, the location was good.

The exhaust fan in the bathroom was very noisy. The beds were very uncomfortable, they must be so old that they are worn down in the middle, I struggled to stay on the good part? I woke up with my back in horrible pain. We had a room with two beds and both of them were horribly worn out. They were made wonderfully, they looked like in the pictures, but they were very deceiving! The fan/heater's filter was terribly dirty. My dog found a bottle of baby powder under one bed and an empty toilet paper roll under the other. So obviously, the beds weren't cleaned under.

Convenient location, very comfortable, large rooms. The reception desk staff allowed me to put my freezer pack in their refrigerator overnight for my cooler. Very helpful & kind.

In the room next to ours, we had some young industrial workers who were noisy all night for both nights. We were reluctant to call the desk since we were their only neighbors. No fault of the hotel.

Check in and checkout was amazingly fast and simple. While I would have preferred a hot breakfast, their continental breakfast was pretty good with a lot of options. My favorites were the French toast and very fresh hard boiled eggs each day. The pool was a little small but warm and comfortable. (You might want to bring your own towels to the pool because their beach towels are small and thin.) The air conditioner was quiet so you didn't have to hear it turn off and on all night. The bathroom was not too small and we liked its long counter space. Beds were very comfortable. And we really appreciated the cot that was provided at no extra cost.

The little fridge wouldn't get cold until we went behind the furniture and pushed the plug in all the way. Then it froze some of our fruit. When looking for something under the bed, we found a paper and water bottle cap that were not ours.
