Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Richwood - Cincinnati South, an IHG Hotel

Room was clean. Comfortable mattress. Digital Lock Safe. Full breakfast.

Had I known to ask, I would have asked for a room on the opposite side that didn't face the interstate. It was a little noisy throughout the night, but not a major deal. Also, the front desk was not always manned. I wanted to purchase some snacks a couple of times, and both times they must have been on a break. This too was not a big deal. I would have just liked to have been able to make my purchase when I came in for the night, rather than having to come back downstairs later.

We traveled with a group of 28 people. The staff was wonderful accommodating all of us. We were able to use the lobby area in the evening for gathering and having a take meal together. The hotel was clean and very inviting.

There is a good bit of construction/updating happening at this hotel. There were several areas of the already small parking lot closed off for dumpsters and supplies. The first night of our stay, two vehicles had to park on a backstreet because there was not adequate parking. Once the updates are complete, this probably won't be an issue.

Breakfast was good. Lobby, breakfast area and halls were clean & decorated with up to date decor. Breakfast options were also good, with hot and cold choices available.

Linens on the bed were stained. Wonderful new employee was trying to check us in. She was doing fine, but when she had questions & as she was explaining things, the (what appeared to be) senior employee was snapping at her, was very short & not very willing to step in and show her. I felt bad for the new trainee, if that was her orientation, it was horrible.

first room we were given was not ready when we walked in to unmade beds and dirty towels over furniture. this was at 10:00 pm and we had checked in at 4:00 but not gone to the room until after 9:00. as we approached the front desk we heard them tell a caller they were fully booked, however while explaining our debacle I saw a list of “rooms not ready” laying by the computer. our original room was not in the list. our new room was ready but the floor in the main area seemed a bit sticky. there were no ice buckets by the machine or in the room.

My family required two rooms. These regular rooms were much larger than normal hotel rooms and the long bench accommodated two open suitcases and a bag. Why don't all hotels offer such a bench? Thank you.

I have no negative comments. The parking was close to the nearest exit door, the rooms were perfect for what we needed, the breakfast was delicious and the hard working lady in the breakfast room was friendly.

The lady that checked me in was really nice! The room was nice, clean, and roomy! Breakfast was pretty decent! Nicest seating area for a breakfast area that I have ever seen! Nice pool area! Overall was pretty satisfied with our stay and wouldn't mind staying again when in the area!😁

We were a little disappointed that the hot tub was closed and even though breakfast was still pretty good, both mornings we were there, the biscuits for the biscuits and gravy were a little over cooked, but the egg and cheese bagels were a good substitute and we were surprised not to see bacon as part of the breakfast as well! However, these things were only minor in our eyes and our stay was very enjoyable! Thanks!😁

Hotel is conveniently located between Ark Encounter and Creation Museum. We definitely enjoyed the hot tub each evening of our stay. Breakfast was good, but not quite as pictured. At least one egg product and meat product was offered each day of our stay, along with several other options.

When the air conditioner was off, some road noise could be heard, but it wasn't too bad.

We really enjoyed our stay. The king room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was substantial, the staff attentive, and good coffee always on. The pool was greatly loved by our kids. An extra thank you for room service cleaning our room nice and tidy!! (And thats saying a lot with our toddler!) O and the king bed was comfy with the best pillows! Kids loved having 2 tvs so they could watch their own choice of shows. Great location to explore the Ark and Creation museums.

The hot tub was closed..had been hoping to relax in there.

The room was very comfortable. The blackout curtains are a great addition. The fridge worked great. Breakfast was good.

The shower head did not tilt. Had to hold it to get water where needed. The room was an adjoining room and we could hear the folks next door. Noisy hall and entrance right outside our door. Has to sleep with ear plugs. Could hear guests upstairs when they walked around in their room.

Had to go to the front desk each day for clean towels, wash cloths, to get coffee for the coffee pot and for clean cups, we had to do this even though we put down for a tidy up for each day. We ask for a handicap room and even called the motel a few days before to confirm it. We got there no handicap room, but the nice lady found a king room instead of a double room. My 90-year-old mother had to sleep on the couch bed.
