Best Western Port Clinton

This BW is very quiet, set back from a moderately busy road, but with a view of Lake Erie (for those on the front, as I was). I enjoyed my stay there again - I think it was my fourth or fifth time.

The wifi was strange, which is not a compliment. When you sign in, IF it allows the process to go to completion, then it's very strong all evening or all afternoon or whatever. But if you stop using it, like going to dinner, it cuts you off. That's not a good feature when a person is staying for five nights. Once you've signed in, the Wifi should remain connected the whole time. Separately, I had to use a special code to sign in. And I don't mean the password. I mean I had to ask at the desk and THEN they revealed that sometimes the router wants you to go to an additional website and get onto their system from there. Wrong answer, IMO. Make it simpler, not more difficult.

I loved the space in the king room. We were in town for 4 nights for daughters wedding, and that gave us some breathing room instead of a cramped space

Trucks with boats parking in back....really made parking back there difficult. Housekeeping just opened door on sunday morning without even a knock on the door. It wasnt checkout time yet, but she entered while my husband was using the restroom....very poor timing. I believe around 9:00am.....if checkout time is noon, and checkin time is 3:00pm......why should i ever have to worry about someone entering our room? Makes absolutely no sense.

Staff was very nice and helpful. My car broke down on my way there (5 hr drive). Unfortunately, we couldn’t make it for Friday night stay. They did charge for that night (which I understand) they updated my stay and gave me a small discount because of my situation. Everything was very clean and breakfast was fresh and good

they didn't match a price I had on my computer. They only honored 5% off room rate instead of the normal discount of 10% on AAA and/or senior discount. I complained about this on the phone before our trip and also in person at the front desk.

The staff was friendly and helpful. This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel. They offer free breakfast. Although I didn't eat it, it smelled good. I love Port Clinton. It's where I like to stay when I come up to the lake.

The beds was pretty hard and the blankets on the beds were very thin. I had to go get an extra blanket for my daughter.

Good breakfast. Clean BF and dining area. Morning staff are very friendly and helpful.

The front desk staff during check in does not know how to greet the guests. She was looking at us like "what do you want?" Kind of look then asked us "can I help you?" Sheet one the bed had stains. When I went back to front desk to let know she looked at me the same way. But she said she will give me another room. I told her I just needed that sheet changed. She said the housekeeping is already gone home. Asked me if she can give me a sheet. I said yes. She became friendly then. But morning staff are very very very nice and friendly. Which overshadowed the yesterday's little hiccup. Overall this place is between good and great. I would come back. Because keeping up the business is very hard now a days. They are trying hard. Appreciate them.

Breakfast was wonderful! Did not expect the freshly prepared items, especially in the off-season and with COVID-related limitations often encountered. The room itself was comfortable, clean. Staff was personable, friendly and welcoming. Location was excellent-perfect view of the lake directly across the street.

Not a thing! Even though there was remodeling going on, it was very quiet.

Staff was friendly , Motel was clean and maintained . Excellent continental breakfast.

Boat Parking with electrical charging very limited, as we were fishing on Lake Erie and needed a charging spot.

The staff was exceptionally friendly, room was decently clean and the grab n go style breakfast was nice. The location is perfect if you want to take a stroll to the beach (it's across the intersection and down the road a bit) as well as Dollar Tree, Dominos and McDonalds are all beside this hotel. Across the street are some nice local restaurants and several others. And don't mind the comments complaining about the hotel not having an elevator, it's only a 2 story building so 1 flight of stairs isn't that bad.

Beds were a little firm and you could tell they allow pets to stay in the rooms. We don't have pets and the room smelled like wet dog when the air conditioner would first come on.

The breakfast was good and they offered quite more than most. Location was central to everything. I didn’t have to ask for anything because housekeeping left it every day on the door in a bag. I was most pleased how clean my beds and bedding were.
