La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Sandusky near Cedar Point

Always get the best sleep here. The new bedding is top notch!! Location is great for Cedar Point and the parking lot in the back is tucked away and gives you such a safe feeling. Fire pit area is gorgeous! My biggest rave is the customer service. My daughter left an item in our room that got wrapped into the bedding and ended up in the laundry. They committed to searching and found it and even offered to ship it to us! They texted with me back and forth through the process which I found to be incredibly convenient. There were a few negatives to our stay but this level of customer service and genuine care will absolutely bring us back!

Either our room (226) is still in the middle of an update process or it left some room for more improvements needed. The carpet was sticky and gross. The color of the blue on the wall was just wild and off putting (didn’t match the LaQuinta blue) especially up against the weird color rose jacuzzi that belongs in the 70’s. There was hair on the shower walls and somehow hair in the freezer not even sure how that happens. The toilet was hard to flush. The biggest pain was having to walk to breakfast since we were in the detached building out back.

Everything was definitely good for us no complaints the beds was comfy clean .The bathroom was clean shower head nice I loved the mirror's the decor of the room was nice the breakfast was great cereal for the kid's everything for you to eat from waffle to eggs and sausage, Tea and coffee freshly made. The pool was a good size the area was okay right down the street from Kalahari and cedar point across from Ghostly Manor good place for family activities.. we enjoyed our stay we will return Tami at the front desk and the other ladies was great they really welcome you..

No issues at all

All the staff we spoke to were super friendly and you could tell they take care of the property - there were people mopping and others doing yard work and it just seemed like there was always somebody doing some type of job. I loved how there was a fire pit to sit and enjoy as well, that's not as common

The only problem I had was our room had a LOUD air conditioner. It was fine for some of the time, but then at random intervals it would make a loud squeaking sound and it was a little hard to sleep through.

I was bummed that the pool was closed for the season but Justin at the front desk hooked me up with a room that had a whirlpool tub right in the room. It was wonderful to have a soak after a long drive.

The pool is outdoors but wasn't listed as "seasonal." I was looking forward to a swim. Our room was in a separate building from the reception. Not a big deal for us but having to walk to breakfast in inclement weather would be a minor annoyance. (Note, we had a dog which could be why we were in that particular building.)

All staff were excellent and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Both Myja and Sherita from front desk were excellent. Tami- I believe was manager was super and awesome also went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Katherine from house-keeping was great as well. As mentioned all staff members were friendly and awesome. enjoyed our stay.

First time staying at La Quinta. Very satisfied with ease of checkin, cleanliness of hotel overall as well as our room. Staff very welcoming and so pleasant. Bed very comfortable. We are a retired couple and have a limited budget for traveling. The price was amazing and definitely doable on our budget. Will look for La Quintas in the future!

Matthew was excellent. Breakfast was standard. I really like the suite option, allowed my teenagers to have their own space.

Bed and pull out couch was not the most comfortable. Was not aware that housekeeping services needed to me requested-trash pick up and towel exchange. Was able to text and get what was needed.

Great location near stores, restaurants, and cedar point. Outdoor pool was nice. Propane grill available for use and nice gas fire pit. Breakfast is eggs, sausage, waffles , cereals, toast, muffins yogurt and fruits. Rooms are average, just fine if your spending the day at the park.

AC register was coming off of the wall and very dirty too. Tv remote was not working and the tv was also broken. Tv would not turn on...it was unplugged. It was unplugged bc thats the only way to turn the tv off..by unplugging it. Had to plug and unplug tv and it still glitched out. Volume was not able to turn up ir down. I told the front desk and for our 2 night stay we were credited $15 for the tv inconvenience. Staff was very nice, very helpful. The bald guy even cracked some jokes back and forth with me. Staff really made our stay enjoyable. I also liked how comfy the bed was. We will stay again for sure.

The bed was comfy, the room was clean, and the fire pit was a nice addition.

The breakfast had eggs and sausage and make-your-own waffles every morning, however, it only had a few other items like bagels, cereal, and muffins. We ended up going out for breakfast our last day.
