Holiday Inn Express & Suites Sandusky, an IHG Hotel

I liked that it was clean and very close to cedar point.

The morning staff for the breakfast was very rude. I simply asked for bacon very nicely cuz I could see that there was very busy. She looked at me and completely ignored me. She finally brought it out and I said thank you very much and she didn't say nothing she just looked at me. I just think it's very unnecessary to be like that. I do work in the hospitality business as a banquet manager. And if you can't have a smile on your face or just seem pleased a little bit then maybe this is not the job for you.

Friendly staff. Great breakfast. Food was hot and ready and easily accessible.

When we got there, there weren’t even enough towels for our family of four. I had to go down and ask for another one, which was easy enough but I think that since they know who will be there, there should be enough towels to begin with. Also, we stayed 3 nights and each showered once a day. There wasn’t even enough body wash for the third night. These are things that should be refilled a little more frequently. It wasn’t something I could just go get because everyone else was sleeping. The pool room was crazy hot and super loud with kids not following the rules. I had to take my kids and leave. Was quite expensive to have these kinds of experiences.

The staff were very friendly and kind and quick to get us a new room when we found mold and a broken shower curtain rod in the bathroom. A staff member helped carry our bags to the new room, as well.

The first room we were given had black mold all over one side of the shower/wall and the shower curtain rod was hanging on by a thread. The new room we were given was in the new section of the hotel and it was very nice. Beds were comfortable, room was clean and spacious. The only complaint I had about the new room was that we only had one washcloth, but that was easy enough to rectify.

Confusion with reservations. Told by 2 different people 2 different things. They were full so would not correct situation. We booked in advance with Book.com first time. I don’t think I would use Book.com again because Hotel keep coming back to Book.com when we tried to make a change that would fit our needs & help us

Some could have been more friendlier at Front Desk. Food was ok. Help was very nice & seem to clean up right away. Book.com could have better relationship with hotel according to what we were told & get a printed receipt right there.

Hi the breakfast was good..I loved the cinnamon rolls..the orange juice was very cold and had a good taste to it not gritty.

Hi the sausage was just ok nothing to brag about..I think they were not cooked as long as they should have been..but overall the biscuits were good and the eggs.

The fact that the park was close to the hotel, the restaurant nearby Thirsty Pony was great, the hotel was pretty clean, the bed was comfortable

I didn't like that were spider webs outside the windows, a few areas in the room needed dusting, also that Netflix and YouTube weren't installed to the TV. Also there were no hot tubs:(

I liked the close proximity to Cedar point.

I didn’t love that our keys to our door will not work and had to have them switched out twice. The air conditioner was a little bit loud when it was on in the middle of the night, but got your plugs the second morning and that made all the difference. Other than that everything was great.

We have daughters who play volleyball so we frequent the Cedar Point sports complex for tournaments - this hotel is less than a mile away, super convenient. Its newish, so it’s pretty clean and comfortable. It’s attached to the Thirsty Pony, so there are a lot of people coming and going from there leading to loud laughter and smells of a certain happy plant, but nothing to really be concerned about.

My husband and I stayed there for 2 nights. The location was perfect since we were going to Cedar Point. Easy in, easy out. The beds were comfortable and the hot buffet breakfast was amazing. We have no complaints.

My only wish was that they had a outside pool

Liked the room the 2nd time, first room had a large amount of black mold on the shower ceiling. I told the desk and they immediately gave me a much better room.

Only the breakfast staff. They were in a real hurry to shut it down and seemed bothered by the guests. Not very friendly. I also think taking coffee away is very disappointing. How hard would it be to let the coffee continue till at least noon? It gave me the feeling that I was an inconvenience instead of a guest.
