Candlewood Suites - Muskogee, an IHG Hotel

I had previously stayed at the Candlewood in Morris, NJ (excellent!!), so I was willing to give this place a try. I wasn’t disappointed and more importantly neither was the Missus. The room was nicely sized with a small banquette in the corner for in room dining. The hot water was hot and plentiful. Free use of a washer, dryer, computer and printer is a nice touch.

The sign on the door states that masks are required, which is not a problem for me (I don’t have a death wish). The issue I have is that the front desk personnel (x2) did not wear one. I realize that it’s difficult to get help these days, but if your help refuses then just remove the sign - it’s Oklahoma, so I’m thankful that they haven’t made wearing a mask a stoning offense. You know what they say, you can lead a horse dying of thirst to water but you can’t make him drink to save his life.

Clean. Most friendly and helpful staff. Convenient to stores and our relatives. Accommodating. Power outage in the area our uncle on hospice was welcomed to come stay in air conditioning with us each day. He did not stay the nights.

Microwave didn’t work, call to front desk unhelpful. Only clean the room every 5 days on extended stay.

Location was good. Did not eat breakfast here. Staff was les attentive later in the day. Usually on the phone.

Commode stopped up was given a plugger. Charged extra on my credit card for nothing. Now have to wait 10-14 days for it to be refunded. Should have been immediately refunded when I checked out. Room was in middle of third floor. Had to walk across half the hallway to get in/out and was not crowded.

I liked that there were immediate openings

I didn't like that when I walked up to the door my kids and I walked into a cloud of marijuana. I also didn't like that there wasn't complimentary breakfast.

The hotel was very good staff helped get my room fixed.

Got to hotel and had to redo my room I booked a king suite and booking gave hotel saying I booked a two queen not what my information said.

The location was great. It was really close to our event and had lots of places to eat nearby. The staff was the best I have seen in some time.

The only negative is the hall and rooms are loud. Especially the doors!

Very clean & well appointed. Convenient with exceptionally friendly & helpful staff. Made a reservation for our return trip.

Had an issue with the TV. But the front desk staff had it fixed quickly.

We always stay here when in Oklahoma, but the price per night went up over $10 since the summer... We like staying here because it's always very nice and clean and centrally located. Staff is always polite and courteous.

The air conditioning unit felt like it was low on freon, which made the floors fill sticky.

Clean quiet and comfortable with good water pressure and plenty of hot water. The staff was great really nice and helpful

Area with sketchy hotel guest next door was a concern, but hotel manager seemed to keep a close eye on them

Our stay was great! The room was very spacious! Plenty of sitting room. Very clean & pretty. Loved the lament floors. The beds were comfortable! A full size fridge.

It was all good. Our room was a suite. Included a kitchenette. But nothing found to cook with or eat with. Which was fine for this stay. If we were to stay again we will keep that in mind. A full size fridge.
