Shilo Inn Portland Airport

Room was spacious and bed very comfortable. We used the pool & jacuzzi. Staff let us extend our check out time until 1pm so we could do so. Truly appreciated it after a long flight back to PDX. Hotel was located conveniently near airport. Had to pay extra for a Shilo Inn transport van to pick us up, since flight arrived at 11:58pm and check-in was after midnight. The driver was very courteous & friendly in spite of the late hour picking us up. Took care of all our luggage very efficiently.

The whole time we were there staff was excellent and really nice and comforting but on my check out day the lady at the front desk had a slight attitude when I asked about a shuttle that I had booked. I have 5 children whom I care for alone so I was 10 minutes late for the shuttle. The lady made me wait another 20 minutes since I wasn't on time and no one else was waiting on the shuttle but me and my children. She was very rude and based on her I wouldn't go back because I feel I didn't deserve that treatment and I almost missed my flight because of the woman's childish antics.

Large room w king bed, property has a small fitness center, large pool and hot tub, great front desk service, clean and is close to the airport. We found a great mobile rate but reg price still seems decent.

Breakfast was not avail w hotel stay - had to go to the connected sister restaurant to eat (we prefer a fast breakfast - cafe or continental to be a part of the setup); Hotel is a little outdated but made up for it w cleanliness and amenities!

The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Having the restaurant/bar on site was convenient and our bartender was very personable! Being just 4 minutes from the airport car rental return made our early morning departure much less stressful. Even though we didn’t take advantage of the pool area, it was large and clean.

We arrived at 3:30 PM after a long day of travel. Check-in was 4:00. The attendant told us there would be a $25 fee for early check in so we waited as she wasn’t sure our room was ready and we didn’t want to pay the extra fee. At 3:45 she said we could Check-in in 4 minutes. I was a little surprised at this down-to-the-minute response.

had a great experience at the hotel. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the pool was a highlight with its hot jacuzzi tubs and two saunas. The location was also ideal, and the staff was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout my stay.

Given our stay of over two weeks, we did feel the absence of daily services was a bit sensitive, but with several changes of towels, it was okay.

I have stayed many times at this Hotel. I have been there just with my traveling alone. I had also stayed there at least twice while traveling with the Last Frontier Honor Flight. They had cancelled staying there due to some concerns about the conditions of the rooms and other parts of the Hotel. In my view of this Hotel there has been changed on some things that has definitely improved the stay there. I travel to Portland usually several times a year. i will continue to make my reservation there. I was just there about a month ago and could not get a room as they were full. So there must be others that are finding improvements in the rooms and the Hotel.

We staid for five nights, using the hotel as the center for tourist excursions each day. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean, and the bed comfortable. Contrary to some other reviews, we never heard a plane. Our room faced North, which helped, as the flights generally passed the hotel on the South side.

On all days, the hotel parked various vehicles, including a truck and a van, under the portico at the entrance, reducing access for arrivals. I can't imagine why they did this

The room was very clean and very large. Everything about the room was amazing! Bathroom was very roomy and sparkling clean. The pool, hot tub, and steam room were fantastic. From check in to check out it was a great stay. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The restaurant had delicious food and great service. I can't say enough good things about the Shilo! Great place, can't wait to stay again!

If there was anything I wish was better, the restaurant was rather expensive. But the food and drinks were great so that's to be expected to some degree.

My wife and I always stay here when we have early or late flights at PDX. It's an older hotel but it's well-maintained and we love the vintage look, especially the restaurant and lounge. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the airport shuttle is convenient. We'll be staying here again next time.

The facility has been upgraded in many areas. The room was nice and maintenance has improved. They have a nice restaurant and bar.

The last few times we’ve stayed there, getting clean towels was a problem. They don’t service the rooms and they make it difficult to get clean towels. The last two times we’ve stayed there, there was only one hand towel for the two sinks. For this stay, I tried four times to get clean towels and I finally just swiped them from the linen cart. At one point I was inquiring about clean towels at the front desk and the house keeper was standing right there. She said she would deliver them to our room, but that didn’t happen.
