Staypineapple, Hotel Rose, Downtown Portland

The room was comfortable and we had a great view of the river. The hotel was in walking distance of downtown. The hotel gave us welcome drinks, which was a nice touch! Would stay again.

The area around the hotel has a bit of a homeless problem, but honestly, that was present throughout the city. Parking was a bit pricey, but I get it, space in a city is pretty limited.

Clean, fun staff.

Missed the driveway and parked in hotel underground parking- had to bring cart down to garage to empty car due to broken glass and car break ins. Hotel does not assume liability for car break ins.

This is the 3rd time I’ve stayed at Hotel Rose. the location is excellent and the beds are incredible.

The gentleman who checked us in on the 22nd in the evening was very off-putting. We approached the desk and had to ask to check in. He had an earbud in which I find to be very unprofessional. He seemed rushed and distracted and never gave us coasters for our drink exchange. When we went down to enquire about the drinks, we were aggressively questioned about where our coasters were that we never received. I am a hotel front desk manager so I notice these things. The man who checked us in didn’t mention the incidental fee of $150 but just added it on without noting it. This was my forth stay with Stay Pineapple hotels. Previously, I’ve never experienced anything less than stellar customer service. This could definitely cause me to shift my loyalty elsewhere.

It was a very comfortable bed and the AC worked great. Located in a good area close to lots of good restaurants and attractions. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They are dog friendly, and very accommodating to those traveling with pets/service animals.

Could hear a lot of noise from floor above, I don't know if it's just not good sound proofing or the people above were being especially noisy but it was a bit disruptive. If you're bringing or renting a car the parking lot is a bit tight. We only had one robe and no towels when we arrived, but the towel situation was addressed reasonably quickly.

The hotel is great everything they say about it is true. So many fun design elements and nice touches. Complimentary water in the lobby, Parking is not a hassle - always found a space no problem. The pet policy is great and very welcoming. We ate in the restaurant three times during our stay and the food and service were exceptional. The beds are comfortable the whole place feels very clean. We were there on a pretty hot weekend and the AC worked great. Internet was great.

This was something that was a little more personal to our situation. We were here as part of a longer trip. So we had lots of luggage and stuff plus our pet. Everything about the room was just as advertised but the reality was we wished for a little more space to spread out and relax in the room. It was just the bed and one desk chair. The standard rooms are a little small. So keep that in mind if you are thinking of spending time in the room other than sleeping / dressing. For any other type of trip it would have been fine - everything you needed and we would stay here again for sure under other circumstances. Just as I described for this trip for us it was not quite the perfect fit.

The front desk staff was great at accommodating all our needs - very kind. The welcome drinks, unlimited water and pineapple shaped cookie treats were a hit with the kids (and adults). We did not need to go to the grocery for water. Location was great for our needs - close to the shopping district by foot and to the food trucks and restaurants too. The rooms were comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed the unique blankets. Probably one of the best hotel beds we've ever had. AC was great in the heat of the summer.

There were some nearby homeless tents (2) but we did not feel unsafe.

Well, this was an extreme circumstance. We landed at the airport in the middle of a blizzard. We couldn't get to our car, and even if we could, there were so many roads closed we wouldn't be able to get home. We quickly booked this hotel mainly because they had availability and they are right near a light-rail stop. Many downtown workers were also unable to get home, so they were looking for hotels along with all the people with cancelled flights. The hotel staff was also unable to get to the hotel due to the storm. So...they had a sudden influx of people and a shortage of staff. There happened to be several of the corporate officers there for a series of meetings, and they ended up cleaning rooms. They also opened the restaurant for the guests because everything else in the area had closed due to the storm. Our server was the COO of the company! They went out of their way to take care of people that needed somewhere to stay and needed some dinner.

Given the circumstances, it wouldn't be fair to complain about anything.

The hotel and our room were clean and comfortable. We liked the European style bedding; however, the comforters were too wam. And we couldn't control the heat. We liked the breakfast setup for the small restaurant.

I suppose, due to the shortage of help, we waited and waited for our room to be ready on the 5th floor. At first, I thought it was very refreshing and considerate to be offered drink vouchers, all the bottled water, Keurig cups, cream, and cookies we wanted until I received the breakdown of the room pricing at checkout; we were being charged 20.00 a night for these amenities. I know parking is often additional, however, we felt 20.00 a night was excessive for their own parking garage. And yes, we are not accustomed to the train and freeway sounds that we heard in our room.

Beds were super comfy and everything was clean

There are currently two pending charges on my credit card almost $600 over the price we booked the hotel for. We booked at bookings.fom for 330$ for our stay, the charges are for 430 AND 480! NOW I'll have to waste my time, calling and trying to figure out why and get the charges removed. Disappointed and frustrated to say the least.

Great location, fun amenities, would have absolutely brought out my dog if I could have this trip. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I've slept in at a hotel! I also have the easiest experience casting my streaming device to the television which was unexpected and much appreciated.

It seems like there was a passive fan system for the bathroom, which just means it gets extremely steamy when you shower and takes a while for all of the condensation to dissipate.
