Days Inn by Wyndham Grantville

We didn’t make it to breakfast it ended a little too early than other motels or hotels. The two guys that checked me was amazing and has a great personality. If I’m ever back in this area I would stay again.

We have dirty towels left behind from a previous guest. I guess the cleaning team should check behind the bathroom door when cleaning since when you open the door you wouldn’t see any towels behind it because the door is blocking it.

We missed it. It wasn’t clearly stated at check-in. Everywhere we stay it has been at least until 10:00. We went at 9:40 and it was over. Plus we didn’t know exactly where to go for breakfast.

Breakfast could have lasted longer and been explained at check in. Perhaps a slip stating times and location with the room key. Pricey for the type of facility that it is. Should be at least 2 bars of soap. Had to use the same soap to wash hands at the sink and in the shower. Even a shower gel would work as extra soap.

The location. It was right off the interstate. I needed to get dinner and asked the lady who checked me in and she directed me to a local restaurant just about a mile. It was an Italian place, Fabios, so I drove there and ordered. So much food! I had leftovers to carry with me, and actually ate for the following two dinner meals. The room was clean, spacious, and the bathroom was clean. There was a microwave and fridge. I felt safe there, and there was a breakfast dining room for continental style breakfast. I slept well. I'd stay there again just for the location and convenience. And for the helpful staff. I was only driving through, so had no interest in the fact that Hershey was nearby, and all the events and parks nearby might have been a plus had I been staying longer.

The only thing I had any problem with was where to store two of my freezer packs. They were too large to fit into the freezer compartment in the fridge. I asked the lady in the lobby if there was a freezer in the kitchen, and could I store them there for my next day's travel, and she quickly said yes, and took my freezer packs. I picked them up the next day before I left was able to transport my cold food items for that day's 6 hour drive. I was grateful for that.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, we had an issue with the air conditioning so I went to the front desk and explained what was happening and they fixed it immediately. I was very impressed. It was a nice stay.

Not really a dislike but Had to drive a few miles for restaurants but was worth it because we found a local BBQ place About 4 miles away called Up In Smoke everything was made on site and delicious. Very reasonable.

The price was good.

Breakfast was lame. All they had was coffee, juice, yogurt, cereal (which I don’t like) and pancakes which was cool but takes a long time and the line for that was long. I stayed at a Days Inn in Hershey and they had fruit and pastries, and hard boiled eggs and a few other things. Much better!

I liked that the sink was not in the bathroom. Standard size tub but the curved curtain rod helped it not feel cramped while showering. Room was clean, beds were comfortable.

Bathroom was small with a tub and toilet. Had to stand next to toilet bowl to close the bathroom door. Fitness room was still closed despite lifted COVID restrictions.

The housekeeper, Shirley was exceptional, she did an excellent job in our room.

Breakfast: should have more choices. We have stayed in other hotels with more choices with lower room rates.

The room appeared clean. the coffee was FANTASTIC!!!! The one staff member I encountered was very nice. She handled the check in with all the issues the internet & systems were giving her with grace

It was close to the park, it was clean and the beds were comfy. Pretty typical Days Inn.

The door would open by just pulling on it. There was a top latch but I had a one year old so we had to be careful. The breakfast was also very minimul.

The room was clean and had everything we needed, fridge, microwave, hair dryer and enough hangers. The bed was comfortable. There could have been a little more for breakfast, maybe some fruit or danishes.
