Mountain View Suites

We were a little surprised when we pulled up to the front....it's basically a big house in a neighborhood but was very charming and clean. The room was quite small but was perfect for what we needed. Nice view and balcony was a plus.The location was great....close (within a mile) of everything Jim Thorpe! Found some great neighborhood restaurants....Tommy's has fabulous sandwiches, etc. and Bob's for breakfast😍 that were within walking distance. We would stay here again🥰

The bed was a little hard and would recommend you take your own pillows....they were VERY firm. The only thing that takes away from the building was all the "stuff" on the other side of the porch (it's a "split" house...Inn on the right and permanent residents on the left) although separate entrances and divided by porch rails. The Inn side was quite charming.

I read the bad reviews and was nervous. One review said sketchy neighborhood. That is the furthest thing from the truth. It's a nice neighborhood, quiet. We were in suite #4 and have no complaints. Room looked exactly like the pictures. Suite 4 is on the 3rd floor, right across from the roof deck. Would stay here again.

I like the fact that every thing was clean & well organize, comunication with the host was a plus. The bed was very comfortable but what I love the most especially a night time was leaving the bedroom door open to see the moon coming out below the mountain.

The doors at the begining lol but once I learned how to manege them they becme easier to open.Also my room did not have a jacuzzi because I forgot to select a room with jacuzi

There was no breakfast that I was aware of but there was a nice breakfast place about two blocks away that me and my wife liked very much. I liked the location to downtown Jim Thorpe, the D&L bike trail and the Switchback. The bed was comfortable and it was a quiet neighborhood

We had no need for the jacuzzi and we are both active people but the great shower was enough for us. I would have preferred a better sitting area and not for the refrigerator and microwave to block hanging up your clothing.

This was a very nice room and I loved that it was in an out of the way location. While still very close to attractions, it was nice to be able to step away from the noise and crowds at the end of the day. We also loved the rooftop view!

My one negative would be that the bed was extremely hard and that made it difficult to get a good night's sleep to get ready for the next busy day.

The room was clean and inviting, and everything you could need was provided- towels, toiletries, blow dryer, etc. I was concerned when some reviews mentioned mold smell or the room not being very clean, but this was absolutely not my experience. The room was perfectly cleaned, the linens were incredibly soft, and the mattress was firm but comfortable.

As mentioned by many, we were in Suite 4 (essentially the attic) and there are a whole lot of stairs. We prepared for this, so I was not upset about it, but it is worth mentioning that the other reviewers were not exaggerating! The linens were incredibly soft, but the pillows were sort of flat and past their prime. As there isn't staff on site most of the time (except after check out time when maids come to turn over rooms) there is no opportunity to ask for more pillows/towels/trash bags/etc.

The Mountain View accommodations were comfortable and as expected. This was a second stay and we were again very satisfied. Location is good, not in JT village, but only a very short, easy drive. Very quiet area makes for relaxing and quiet sleeping. Rooftop common area is lovely. Very easy self check-in.

Some tissues in the room would have been nice as well as some extra hand towels (only one was available, but other towel quantities were fine.) Also, maybe an extra pillow or two would be appreciated by some guests.

It was not a cookie cutter hotel room. We chose suite 4 with jacuzzi. It was steep steps to get to top floor. No elevator. It was fine just good to know ahead. I love the easy check in/keypad. We had one question-called the host -they picked up right away. We would like to come back someday

When we were looking for location it was after dark. Keyed in address on gps. Ended up on the other part of town. This town has center st AND center Ave. go figure . We met a very nice man that suggested we try the other one. 😀no big deal

It was kind of odd. Everything was done by text, no personal contact at all. I guess that is part of our new contactless world. Would have been nice to be greeted by someone and be able to say thank you to someone on departure. There was a guest book and left our thank you’s there. Other than that, we would go again. Very cozy, clean and charming.

Beautiful decor imside the apartmemt, loved the deck and the view, loved the jacuzzi although I did not get to use it due to female issues. Very clean and beautiful. Would love to stay there again but not paying that much.

I really did not communicate with the staff much. We took care of the cleaning and garbage. The space was a little attic, beautiful but really small, bed also was smaller than expected. If my husband was just 1 more inch taller his head would have touched the attic. Outside look was not welcoming. It can get a touch up, the door, stairs, garden, porch. Too expensive, very expensive again too expensive!
