The location was great because it was not in the middle of town but not too far away. There is a lot of property to explore, which is not typical of a B&B. Our host was inviting and very helpful with dinner recommendations and making sure we were oriented to the property when we arrived. Everything was clean and in working order.

There is a fairly busy road nearby, but house does not sit on that road. This created road noise when enjoying the porch though we didn’t hear it in our room which faced the front. Parking is a little tight. Bring your smaller vehicle if possible. Breakfast was a bit disappointing and not what we typically get at a B&B. It was served more continental style and most was not house prepared, but rather a collection of purchased breads, bagels, etc. There were some small bite sized quiches available which I think were house prepared

This is a gorgeous historic home that was beautifully decorated. We loved relaxing in each of the rooms and walking the peaceful property. Kenneth, the owner, shared about the very interesting history of the house and whipped up delicious breakfasts every morning. He was accommodating to all our needs but not at all overbearing. We played games in the game room, read in the library, and I WISH I could have played the grand piano in the living room. (I was encouraged to do so but can’t play) We stayed in the gorgeous master suite (Michael) that had a HUGE balcony viewing the expansive property. Had it been warmer, we would have spent lots more time there. It’s very close to all of the activities of Lancaster, yet you feel like you’re out in the country. It’s a great couple’s getaway!

The owner was so nice. He genuinely loves his Inn and his guests. The place is beautiful and so comfortable. Very beautifully decorated for that time period of 1860. The grounds are well maintained and so gorgeous. We enjoyed our stay immensely! The breakfast was delicious. Frittata was perfect and had so much flavor. The croissant filled half the plate it was huge. Loved the fresh fruit with yogurt and granola. And the scones were icing on the cake! Want to go there again l! It was absolutely perfect!

Our time there wasn’t long enough! We will book the entire wkend next time we are in Lancaster,PA.

The proprietor Ken greeted us as we arrived and showed us around and made us feel welcome. The house was lovely, there was so much attention to detail with beautiful furnishings and all was very clean. There were separate areas to relax, such as the game room, reading room, side porch with additional chairs if you wanted to take them out. Everything was well kept and the grounds were very pretty. The breakfast items were fresh, of high quality, with a good selection and enough of them (i.e. they did not run out).

The location is convenient, as we were able to walk to a nearby pub, however because there is a main road so closeby, the traffic noise when outside cannot be helped, otherwise it would be a peaceful setting.

Bedroom (Raphael) was large and comfortable with a nice sized private attached bathroom. The air conditioning worked exceptionally well and was so quiet! That’s a bonus for sleeping comfortably. Kenneth was a great host and made a good breakfast.

While it don’t pose a problem for us because we were busy after breakfast, the common areas were not air conditioned, just the bedrooms. With wi does open and because of the shady position of the house, it was still comfortable for breakfast.

My friend and I had a wonderful night at the Hollinger House. Our host, Kenneth, gave us a warm welcome and a tour of this amazing house and grounds. The house is so beautiful, even prettier in person, with so much history. I told my husband I want to come back in the spring just to enjoy the grounds. Breakfast was very good. Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable and it was also quite. I would recommend this lovely bed and breakfast to everyone. Thank you Kenneth for a wonderful stay

I honestly can't think of anything. One thing that personally love are rocking chairs. I have a rocking bench on my porch. So maybe a couple rocking chairs. But again that is a personal preference.

It’s a great looking place. It was very clean and offered a lot of goods. Wish for a little brighter lighting in my room, Ariel. Phone chargers would be nice and extension cord in a drawer. I had to pull up a chair and lamp close to the plug in receptacle to comfortably be able to read with sufficient light. Please put light at front door so lock more easily visible. Please leave out decaf coffee and herbal teas at Keurig in hallway.😊

The difficulty opening the front door and darkness on lock. I have a compromised left hand.

Beautiful authentic B & B. The house was built in the 1870's and was just amazing. The house has each room dated to that era. From the glass chandeliers to the beautiful crown molding. It felt like we were right in that time period. The wrap around porch and the beautiful property grounds were lovely. We sat on a bench and drank wine at the edge of a stream. It is located close to all the great shopping spots and the sight and sound theater which was great. Kenneth and Teddy were so friendly and helpful at finding great spots to eat and shop. They both made the stay a special one.

The property is a lovely historic mansion, restored and maintained to capture its vintage charm. Our room was a large room with 4 windows and a separate large bath. The furnishings were luxurious, eye appealing and comfortable. Our host Ken made us feel like we owned the place and couldn’t have been more welcoming. If you want peace and quiet and a lovely house and grounds to escape to, this IS the place.

Nothing disliked.

Beautifully kept grounds surround this historic bed and breakfast. Kenneth is working very hard to re-establish the revitalized B&B to new levels of experiences. He is delivering excellence with it’s warmth and charm. John the grounds keeper was Amiable and shared some personal history about this wonderful establishment. Teddy, the housekeeper, is warm, helpful and engaging.
