Mill Street Inn

You would never think the Inn was like it was from the outside. Loved the quaintness of the neighborhood and the brick building. Upon arrival until we left the desk clerk(s) were so friendly, professional and helpful. Receiving a goody bag upon arrival was a nice surprise. It is a rare occasion those are given out. We absolutely loved our room!! It was like a little townhouse. We loved the balcony. The water in the milk jug was a nice touch. And the extra pillows I requested, thank you! The continental breakfast menu was good. Limited. The location was perfect. We didn't use our car while in Newport because the Inn was walking distance to everything downtown. Even though it was cold out we still chose to walk. The rate for the night we thought was reasonable. Not sure how high it would be during the in-season. We will recommend the Inn to others for sure!

Honestly, there is really nothing to dislike. If I had to say anything the lighting in the living room was somewhat dark.

The location of the Mill Street Inn is amazing. literally a two min walk and you are in the center of the downtown action, every possible restaurant option imaginable. bars night life, shopping etc. but far enough away that once you are on your balcony overlooking the harbor you don’t hear anything. we had a two floor suite, the breakfast that is included is just what you need to get your day started. the kingsize bed was super comfy and the shower and bathroom were clean with plenty of hot hot hot water and great smelling soap. I can’t wait to go back! I will definitely be recommending this inn to friends and family.

there was nothing I didn’t like about this Inn.

Perfect location, close to everything but still quiet. Rooms have a lot of character and individual touch. We traveled with a little pet, called to inform about that prior to reservation, gave us pet-friendly room. Breakfast is much better than your average continental breakfast.

Air conditioning units in room seem not reacting to higher temperature setpoint, keep blowing lots of cold air whole night long.

The service was outstanding - so friendly, warm and welcoming. We were so surprised to find a lovely bottle of local wine and a card in our room, wishing us a happy anniversary. Wow! A little touch that meant so much and kicked off our weekend away on such a fantastic note. All employees were so helpful, courteous and kind, and we loved the location - so central to everything. The robes are soft and fluffy, the shower wonderful, and the breakfast perfect before heading out for a day of exploring. Thank you! We will be back for sure, and tell everyone we know to put the Mill Street Inn on their list!

The location was excellent. The suite was lovely with a great view. Our stay was too short, and the weather didn’t cooperate to really take advantage of the private deck.

The breakfast was a big disappointment. They only offered selections for room service delivery that could have come from Starbucks - yogurt, granola, hard boiled eggs.

The staff at the front desk were all very genuinely sweet and helpful. The suite was welcoming, spacious and clean.

This is probably my bad. However, I could not adjust the temperature in the suite to be just. 🤷🏻‍♀️ It was either too cold or too stuffy. We should have asked for help.

Loved the location and the decor! Beautifully redone mill, with a neat history. Liked the large glass shower with double head, and high end linens and towels. Lovely rooftop terrace with view of the harbor and plenty of tables and seating. Breakfast was wonderful, including fresh squeezed OJ, and complimentary room service (due to covid the breakfast room was closed.) They recently added a small gym, so that was a nice surprise. Not much, but nice to have something.

Parking is challenging. When we arrived we went to the basement parking garage down a steep hill, only to find it was full and we had to go backwards up the hill to get out since there was no space to turn around. When we asked the desk where to park, they pointed us to a alley spot, and told us we got the last of the 21 spots for the 23 rooms. Yikes!

Location is perfect, park the car and within walking distance to everything! Townhouse suite was great, multi-level w/ a very nice deck area. Breakfast delivered to your day everyday! The staff was exceptional, we will definitely be back!

Breakfast was excellent and always delivered on time! Great selection of options to choose from. Staff was extremely helpful and went out of their way to make our visit perfect!!!

They delivered our breakfast of choice right to our door at the exact time we asked for it. They were so pet friendly and the location is perfect walking distance to all Newport offers - loved it!
