Holiday Inn South Kingstown-Newport Area, an IHG Hotel

Breakfast was very good, staff pleasant and attentive. Nice clean, bright restaurant. Also the American Skillet breakfast was very good and should be a permanent option. Our bed was heavenly, slept phenomenally. Great pool area. Room cleaned quickly both days. We thought the location was central to what we wanted to do. All hotel staff were friendly and accommodating.

We arrived early at 2:00 and had to wait until 3:00 to check in. While 3:00 was the stated check in time, we’ve never had to wait if we were early in the past. The desk clerk indicated the rooms were clean but needed to be inspected. The women who needed to inspect them didn’t seem to be in a hurry.

rooms were modern and clean, loved the choice of firm or soft pillows that were labeled-so comfy. it was so quiet. it was nice not to hear any traffic

the breakfast was not great, we expected the option to order from the menu but there was only a continental ‘buffet’ and there were very few options. it was enough to put something in our stomach before we headed out but it was not a buffet

This is a great place to stay especially for the price. Beds were comfortable, A/C worked great on a 90 degree day, shower good, nice pool and outdoor area. Free morning coffee was very good and the full breakfast is worth booking with the room. Cudos to the lady who kept the morning coffee jugs filled! We went to the wonderful Narragansett beaches only a few minutes from here.

Everything was good as far as we were concerned.

The staff at the restaurant could not have been ruder. We walked in the breakfast room not to be greeted, told the routine, where to sit, or payment. At the breakfast bar was a bus boy a cook and another woman sitting engrossed in conversation. Totally ignored and when asked finally for assistance it was given with attitude.

location is great very close to the university of Rhode Island - rooms are clean. There is a restaurant right on the premises and a Dunkin in walking distance.

The price - I hate when the price is raised because they know it’s a busy week at the university.

breakfast was alright not great. toaster did not work. eggs were very salty. french toast today many of the slices were dried out due to being on heat too long. staff was very accommodating when asked for something. decaf coffee should be offered at the coffee bar and tea in the breakfast room.

location/ proximity to URI was great, comfortable and clean. restaurant breakfast was great, desk was helpful in providing food delivery options as well.

rooms were a bit dated but clean and comfortable so not as concerned with the decor furnishings

Lobby is beautiful, Pool area is great with side patio.

Bathroom is tiny. Flooring is carpet and prefer regular flooring, is cleaner and free of smells, better for allergies, while carpet smells of whatever disinfectant they put in it and it was a strong smell.

It was surrounded by a green buffer of grass and trees; which was perfect for my dog. The pool was beautiful.

Breakfast would have been good if it were free but it should have been better for 13$.

The waitress we had at the restaurant in the hotel was extremely rude . Approach my table and look at me and said what do you want .. I ordered drinks don't really remember what she said when she came but my reply was check please ... to bad I think we missed a good meal . And she lost a good tip... GOOD help is hard to find ... No reflection on the establishment or the hotel.
