Best Western Point South

Clean comfortable helpful staff. Great am breakfast. Nice pool inside. Laundry facility on site. Roomy room with big screen tv. Deep bath tub shower. During breakfast some items were not available due to motel shipments missing but not due to their part. So the two breakfast staffers went out of their way to give different items as needed when regular breakfast items were out. The housekeepers were outstanding to make sure we had what we needed for our stay. Second visit staying there. I highly recommend this motel to stay.

I truly can’t say one thing that I disliked.

our king bed was comfortable. Space in the room was very comfortable with a love seat sofa. The air conditioning was cold comfortable to set our own temperature. There was a humidifier which circulated the air in our room with adjusting temperature to. Nice deep bath tub shower. Area was good with several restaurants to walk if needed. The free breakfast was really good. The food was hot. There was cold food in refrigerator. Enough different choices to eat for all family members.

The water pressure was low in the bathtub/ shower But the water was hot for good bath or shower.

Breakfast was so so. They put me in a non handicapped room at first. The lady at the front desk had to come and she literally just picked me up! I’m am not small. She was great and changed my room to a handicapped room even though I had my service dog with me. Then my stay was very nice. Her name was Jermace and she was wonderful! She’s my hero and she deserves a raise. My dog is a service animal so that shouldn’t have mattered. My dog is also hypoallergenic.

The first bathroom was tiny and a low toilet and no grab bars. That didn’t work at all!

The young woman who checked us in was extremely accommodating. We had specific needs and she went out of her way to meet them.

Although the Booking.com website indicates there is a restaurant onsite (which was one of the main reasons we booked this property), there hasn't been a restaurant there for quite some time. Although I realize it is the hotel's responsibility to update their property description, perhaps Booking.com needs to check a little more thoroughly whether the amenities described are actually available. As a result of there being no restaurant, as we had been on the road for several hours and were very tired, we had no choice but to order food for delivery. The restaurant charged us a $15 delivery fee because they are 20 miles away from the hotel. If we had known there was no restaurant onsite, we would never have booked there.

The room and overall hotel was clean, swimming pool was clean, great price!

The pool was freezing as it was not heated, all though it’s “indoors” as stated online, I didn’t expect the water temperature to be 30 degrees in May, and it’s only 50 outside. So I figured when booking I would get a nice indoor, semi-warm pool, not at all! No towels were offered either. The pillows were also very hard and the bed squeaked and popped anytime we sat on it. However, it was clean!!

The breakfast was good. The location was quiet.

The room was set up strangely. The table was next to the door making it difficult to get in and out. The TV was not set in front of the bed. There was no chair other than the one at the table. The water pressure to the shower was poor. The 'best food nearby' was a Waffle House. (We drove 22 miles to Port Royal and had a great dinner on the water.)

Comfortable bed. Very clean. The front representative (at night) was super helpful and courteous. My husband had his service dog with him, and we were given a nice doggie bag with a bottle of water, a couple of treats and a pouch of moist food. Very thoughtful. Nice location with lots of green space.

Could have used a couple more pillows.

Breakfast was fine I would suggest that people who don't eat pork add some turkey sausage and overall everything was good

one room was wet due to something going on but the staff made sure we was able to transfer to another room

Friendly staff. Furnishings etcetera somewhat new. They must be on a periodic replacement schedule. Facilities generally clean. Park next to your room. The quiet at night provides restful sleep. Pet friendly with ample walking space. Great breakfast with many food varieties A find of a hotel/ motel for the traveler.

Tasty hot breakfast, clean comfortable bed. Very clean bathroom. Great hospitality. We had a little dog with us. They gave us a bag with food, water, poop bags and 2 large milk bones. Very dog friendly.

Ok, husband said coffee wasn't so good. I don’t drink coffee, but he raved about everything else.
