Hotel Indigo Charleston - Mount Pleasant, an IHG Hotel

The hotel was wonderful! Breakfast was amazing! The best we have ever eaten in a hotel. Our room was very comfortable and quiet.

When checking in we had issues with the breakfast vouchers. We had paid for breakfast to come with our stay and the one man was saying no it wasn’t even though I had all my emails with booking available for them to check. Finally the manager came over and said he would take care of it. We were given the vouchers however when checking out I thought to myself I better check and sure enough they tried to charge us for our breakfast . This was very upsetting to me to have to deal with this again. In the end it was finally taken care of.

Overall the hotel amenities were clean and in good shape, the pool area is very nice (though I didn't use it) and the staff helpful (for example, I ran out of toothpaste and they kindly provided some sachets). Location is great if you have a car, and manageable via uber ($10 to town, so still a big cost saving over 3 days vs staying downtown).

The rooms were clean but some fixtures/fittings were clearly of a lower standard, which is reasonable given a lower price chain. Less a function of the hotel than its visitors (largely wedding and bachelor parties) the common areas were often unclean - e.g. sick on floor of the lift, broken wine glass in lobby. That said, the staff were responsive and quick to clear things up, so did well. One main negative was there was no safe in the room.

Nice location. Free parking. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was included during our stay and we were able to order from a menu. Creme brûlée french toast or an omelette made to order are examples of some of the menu choices. The staff are very friendly and pleasant. They helped to make our visit great. Believe it was LaShonda who we saw most mornings at breakfast. She was wonderful. My daughter and I both enjoyed when she was working.

Hotel is a little older although updated some. A couple times we returned to our room after 4 and it hadn’t been cleaned. We had an excellent pool view but window was really dirty inside. We cleaned ourselves so we could enjoy the view. Elevators seldom vacuumed.

The location was very convenient to get into Charleston. The decor of the rooms was very nice and updated. Michael went out of his way to be hospitable and accommodating.

The room wasn't ready when we checked in at 6pm, and we had to wait over an hour for the room, delaying our dinner reservations, however the fact that the General manager went out of his way to surprise all the guests that experienced this inconvenience with a hand written note apologizing, a bottle of wine and a snack the next night was very impressive. We also very much appreciated the drinks at the bar while we were waiting and breakfast to make up for what happened- it was very smart to be generous because we did not leave with bad feelings about it.

Hotel Indigo provided us with a phenomenal vacation experience! There are so many amenities at a very reasonable rate! The pool area is very upscale and relaxing! There is an in-house restaurant & bar, beautiful decor throughout, and the rooms are extremely clean and stunning! It is truly a unique experience that you can’t find at any of the other nearby hotels! If you want to stay in absolute LUXURY at affordable rates then please book your next stay at Hotel Indigo! This will be our go-to spot in Charleston from now on!

The only thing that would make this already FANTASTIC hotel even better would be the addition of a hot tub in the pool area.

We had dinner there, food overpriced and not good Spesifically, the steaks (ribeye) eas pricey $42. very tuff nd my daughter and I could not eat them. Ribeyes are suppose to be a tender cut

so clean and convenient to all parts of Charleston

Two nitpicky things…this one is pretty valid but during rain TV service was out which is actually is when you need TV service so I would try to look into that. I believe it’s a dish/satellite service. The other is just a suggestion, if possible, add another dryer since the washer is 30 minutes in the dryer is 60 minutes it would be helpful to have a second dryer.

For the most part it was clean, the pool area was super posh. The food was good, the coffee and flavored water were both very good. The location was great.

The carpet outside our room. That was dirty and needed to be vacuumed. We figured it would be done at some point but we stayed four days and it was never cleaned. The second floor overall needs an upgrade.

The pool area is beautiful with music and great night time lighting. It is a heated pool so it was always the perfect temp.

The only issue we had was that in our four night stay we did not have any housekeeping. We were asked on check in if we wanted daily housekeeping or we could just call the desk when it was needed. I said we’d call. I called one morning and then followed up that afternoon but still no housekeeping. They just put clean towels in the bathroom but didn’t even take the dirty ones out. I’d recommend requesting daily housekeeping when you check in or you might not get any at all.

The location couldn't be more perfect for our sightseeing trip with the family. The pool was awesome and breakfast was over the top! Everyone was super friendly and we just had the best time.

The temperature in the room was hard to figure out how to change. A bit humid but really that pales with everything else we enjoyed on our stay.
