Inn at I'On, Ascend Hotel Collection

The Inn at I’On was excellent. The staff, Amy and David, were so responsive and went above and beyond in accommodating our stay due to health conditions. They were so attentive and made sure we had everything we needed, plus some! The property itself is so quaint, very clean, and well taken care of. The daily free breakfast was amazing. It is also very convenient to restaurants, attractions, and Charleston in general. Definitely a 10 out of 10! Highly recommend this property.

Nothing at all.

It was very convenient to order breakfast the night before, and pick it up in the morning in a to-go bag. That gave us the option of eating in our room or in the dining area. The manager was friendly and helpful, talking us through late check in, and the housekeeping staff helped us out with water, orange juice, extra towels, etc. Thanks Amy!

The beds needed updating. We felt as if our king was sloping, and the daybed where our son slept was very lumpy.

The inn was just what I had invisioned for celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary. The ion neighborhood was so quiet and charming! I was in love with our room and the wonderful robes provided, the in room coffee maker (keurig!), and the location of the hotel. Also, the complimentary breakfast was phenomenal and we savored it outside ! What a wonderful and romantic getaway we had! Thank you for the wonderful hospitality!

Everything was amazing

This is our second stay at the Inn and it was an incredible experience once again. The staff is absolutely fantastic, attentive, and helpful.

We were booked into the wrong room type, but we were accommodated the second night. The only other issue was a strange smell in the first room. I can speculate to what it was, but I don’t know for sure, so I’ll just say it wasn’t a horrible smell but not an overly pleasant one.

- beautiful spacious room and bathroom- very elegant - comfortable bed - own porch to sit out on - in a beautiful residential neighborhood, very peaceful - nice staff - great restaurant in the same house; highly recommend going over there (not part of the hotel)

- breakfast is served in takeaway containers (for self pick-up downstairs) and only at 8:30 onwards. This is too late for someone wanting to explore the city, especially in the heat. My breakfasts were decent (I recommend the salty options), but I was missing components on day 1. There is no milk for coffee available. Limited choice on breakfast, not ideal, especially if you gave dietary considerations - Walls are very thin, you can hear your neighbors, even if they aren‘t being loud - parking is very tight. I have a small car, so this didn‘t bother me, but might be a concern for larger vehicles - far away from Charleston: plan on a 20ish min drive

it’s fantastic place to stay at. great location, very clean and comfortable. upscale look and feel but without the price tag.

this our first time we were staying in the room on the third floor. room was large but bathroom was small and room didn’t have the balcony. I wouldn’t stay in this room again.

The location was great, quiet, and beautiful. The suite was impressive, clean, and felt like home. We would definitely recommend it to a friend and go back. The suite even had bathrobes.

There wasn't much hot water on our first night. Maybe it was just a matter of timing, and we happened to shower at the same time as other guests. I forgot to ask where the ice machine was.

Beautiful old inn, great antique furniture in a beautiful location.

The bathroom was cramped, we had two queen bed that were so hight we needed a step stool to get in which was fun. There wasn't any hanger or door in the closet, two chairs were in it, it had a very slanted roof so I banged my head a few time. There wasn't a lot of light.

Boutique hotel in an upscale, quiet community. The Inn is on the corner of a main road, so it can be a little noisy around 8:30 a.m. on but it’s not a deal breaker. A large, nice breakfast is available to pick up from the communities’ restaurant. A huge unexpected plus. The communities private, beautiful pool and gym is available with a key. The rooms are very nice with large showers and luxury vinyl floors in the bedroom. Rockers are on the balcony.

Near a busy road so it can be a little noisy.

First time we stayed here and it was lovely. Location was a quaint area in Mt Pleasant. Everything was comfortable, room size, sheets, bed, towels. They offered to deliver breakfast but we declined due to other plans. They had water and orange juice in the refrigerator for us.

Maybe offer a microwave.
