French Quarter Inn

Charming and very cozy. Super location, exceptional breakfast. Hotel had so many wonderful little touches, as well. French Quarter Inn made for a very relaxing getaway in Charleston! Looking forward to staying here again!

The amenities and little touches at the this hotel make it a better value and are very enjoyable. I expected a breakfast buffet, but you can also order from a menu and have additional options delivered to your room! The afternoon happy hour is wine but not just cheese, there was a very nice spread more along the lines with full charcuterie. And the evening cookies were fresh baked and delicious. Bikes were available for use and the staff was helpful and friendly. Thank you French Quarter Inn!

The hotel decor is a bit dated and some areas of the lobby, which is on the second floor, were under construction. If the space were different it would lend to a livelier feel.

Excellent location. Breakfast could be improved. The boiled eggs tasted like cardboard and there were no healthy bread options, which I had inquired specifically before our departure. The evening cookies were tasty (tasted one), but healthy options (almond flour, sugarfree, etc.) would be an added bonus. The unlimited supply of water and the turndown service was great. The staff were very professional and helpful at all times.

Overall, we liked almost everything about the hotel, especially the cleanliness and it's location. As stated above, some improvement could be made to the food options.

The hotel was beautiful, and all staff were congenial and eager to assist. We received champagne in our room on arrival, and found that to be a very nice welcoming gift. We also enjoyed the wine and cheese receptions and the cookies and milk every evening.

We were Very disappointed that the hotel was not decorated at all for Christmas. We were there over Thanksgiving, and every other hotel, restaurant and shop we entered was in full festive decor. It certainly reinforced the bare look of our hotel. We spent a great deal of time at a competing hotel enjoying their beautiful decorations and tree-lighting program the evening after Thanksgiving.

Really lovely and helpful staff at all levels from the front desk to the cleaners to the car and baggage attendants. The hotel also had little extras like breakfast, afternoon wine and snacks and evening cookies.

Slight confusion over the inclusive breakfast. We discovered a bit late that If a guest wanted eggs they had to order room service the night before (but wouldn’t be charged extra). The buffet in the lobby was more of a continental breakfast and not in a restaurant environment .

The staff were very welcoming and informative. Their service was exceptional and we loved the location as well as all of the added features this beautiful hotel offers. Wine and cheese hour every night along with the most delicious warm baked cookies every night was surely a winner! We are really looking forward to a return trip back to this hotel!

The only thing that could possibly use improvement would be a better selection of the hot breakfast.

From arrival the staff were friendly, efficient and attentive. Loved the welcome glass of champagne as our car was taken away by the valet! There was port and cheese available, which we unfortunately missed due to our late arrival but we were in time for cookies and milk! The room was extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean with really lovely toiletries, a welcome chocolate and complementary bottle of water. So many special touches. Breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed it out on the terrace. I especially enjoyed the overnight oats and fresh berries and melon. Then there is the location… short walking distance to all the must sees in Charleston and great restaurants! Perfect! Finally the noon checkout was perfect and they were able to accommodate a one hour late checkout which gave us time to explore before popping back to freshen up before hitting the road! Would absolutely recommend!

Great Location, friendly and kind staff, clean, decorated beautifully. Cleanliness and safety were important for their staff and guests with strategically placed hand sanitizing stations and complimentary hand wipes. The breakfast options were delicious and the option to deliver to the rooms was amazing. The wine and cheese/charcuterie each night was great. The milk and warm cookies were an awesome delight especially at the end of the night. The customer service from start to end was serendipitously professional and amazing with each encounter.

beautiful rooms! Staff was incredibly nice and attentive. Every staff member said hello every time they walked by. Amazing breakfast and nighttime treats. Extras such as chocolates and water made it even better. We were sent a bottle of champagne for our anniversary.

If I had to say anything that I didn’t like, it would be that the temperature in the rooms didn’t seem to match what we had set it for. Seemed to be a little warm.

Great location, which is the main reason I chose this hotel. Walking distance from many places. I loved the option to have breakfast brought to the room and that it gets served until 10:30am since I’m not an early morning person. Room was very clean and bed and pillows were very comfortable. The staff were all very helpful and friendly and made the stay a nice one. Overall, I’m very happy with my stay and would return.

The only downfall is the price. It is a bit on the high end or could be that I came during a time when prices where high at $630 a night.
