owner was on property at check out and contacted housekeeping when I told him the mini fridge needed attention, right away. The beds were very comfortable. We had a handicap room but it didn’t have a roll in shower. The tub was approximately 12” high to step over and did have grab bars on the inner wall which made it difficult to use. Otherwise it was a great stop over place for the night. Breakfast was included and had bagels/toast, cereal, hard boiled eggs, great fruits, yogurt and beverages. I already made my reservation for my trip back south in the fall.

Was traveling north and stopped off of I-95 for the night with my family. Got great room rates on Booking.com compared to walk-in rates. 2 Queen beds which were very comfortable. Nothing fancy but the room served it's purpose. It was clean and roomy enough. Free breakfast was mainly cereal, muffins and bagels. Would have liked either a make-you-own waffle bar or yogurt. No hot chocolate either for those of us who don't drink coffee or want another option instead of tea. Eating area was clean. Overall, a nice place to rest for the night, eat and get back on the road. BTW, we did hear a high speed train come by during the night but not too disruptive.

See comment above about slightly expanding the breakfast choices. It's carb heavy.

Checked in at 10:45 pm. Very quiet room. Did not hear anybody walking by, talking or traffic. I did hear a train go by (twice), my husband slept right through it, I thought it was pretty cool. No matter which hotel you would stay around here you will hear it. Bed was very comfortable. Pillows are nice and big (if you like sleeping with a flatter pillow I suggest you bring one). Breakfast was great! Bagels with cream cheese, toast, delicious orange juice, fruit, cereal, coffee.... Will absolutely stay again on our yearly trip to see family. (Wife wrote this review 😊)

Chose the hotel on our phones while on a 12+ hour drive and happy we did, room was comfortable and clean for a "side of the road" overnight stop - miles apart from a motel we had earlier in the trip that left us traumatised. Friendly check in despite being past midnight - room was big and felt at least semi-new/refreshed.

Didn't stay long enough to find anything we didn't like - was just what we needed for a late night, overnight stay in the middle of our roadtrip.

Another top notch stay at Howard Johnson of Florence ! Always clean and secure. Very attractive property inside and out .Lovely palm trees punctuate the property and neighborhood. Many nearby amenities and easily to the rural countryside of the Pee Dee Region and an acceptable driving distance to the beaches for day trips. Pleasant staff. Easy check in/out.

Nothing not to like. It is exceptional for this price range.

The room were nice and cleaned. the bed were comfortable and the staff are courteous and friendly.

There is no elevator to go up on the second floor and if you have to carry luggages to second floor it can be challenged.

The location, the rooms, and facilities were excellent as always. The manager Jimmy goes out of his way to help you if there are any issues. The staff is always friendly and helpful.

The bathroom tub was slightly damaged around the drain, other than that, the facilities were okay. Also, I prefer being on the first floor, instead of the second floor. Other than that, it is my favorite hotel for the price.

All of the front desk staff was awesome greeted you every morning. Has a sink issue fixed right away. Breakfast was just enough to get started. Add one more type cereal honey nut Cheerios. Lorie was great talk with you, shared places to go.

The people in 1402, always banging and knocking into something especially after 10pm. Alot of moisture in room

I was more than a little impressed by the room! It seemed like lots of updates and renovation have been done recently and it shows in the cleanliness of the room. It was nice decor, nice smelling [a big must for me!], good lighting, plenty of outlets for chargers, etc. I slept like a log after a 12 hour trip!

the ONLY idea for improvement I could suggest is to have USB outlets in the base of the nightstand lamps … other than that minor suggestion, I have nothing more to suggest. Great Stay!

The breakfast staff was pleasant, and the location is perfect because of all the surrounding restaurants and stores, also on and off access to the highway.

The first day the tube backed up with water instantly but when I called the front desk and told him about it , it was taking care of the next day before I got back. Major plus for that! 5 stars for the quick response.
