Comfort Inn & Suites Mt Rushmore

Breakfast was great! Location was perfect! The bed was exceptional! My husband & I had planned to watch a movie after our shower. When we plopped down into bed, that was it! I turned the tv off because that bed was the best we've had yet & we've been to many hotels for conferences & personal travel, so that was a nice change.

You could hear the train outside, which is to be expected. However, we take a fan on every trip, so it helps drown out the outside noise.

Clean and comfortable

Waited for about five minutes at front desk in morning, went back to my room to call, phone didn't work. Went back to the front desk and waited some more. Finally, someone (staff) saw me waiting, but didnt say a word to me, nor did he get a front desk person. I then saw he went to clean the breakfast area, so then I asked him to get someone at the front desk for me. He wasn't very friendly about it. There was no bell to ring at the desk, like there had been in the afternoon. I know people are short staffed so I wasn't very bothered to be waiting, but the guy should have asked if I needed help, or got someone right away. There also should have been a bell if they were away from the desk.

We loved having such a comfortable hotel to return to after our daily adventures. The lobby is lovely with cabin like decor that suits the Black hills. The beds were comfy and bedding was cozy. We appreciated having a larger refrigerator that included a small freezer so we could refreeze our cooler packs for the long trip home. Breakfast was filling and included hot and cold items. I especially enjoyed the cheese omelets they offered one morning we were there.

clean and comfortable rooms. Breakfast was hot and fresh especially the biscuits. pool and hot tub was nice after a long day of sightseeing. Next door within walking distance is sprockets a fun arcade with pizza, the kids loved it. close to everything! last but not least the staff was so friendly, welcoming, and informative for a great stay in South Dakota. my kids said this was the best hotel ever and we vacation a lot.

Nice lobby walking distance to Keystone Main Street. restaurants and Bar located next door is all very convenient, no need to drive. very cute little town, 3 miles from Mt Rushmore,would stay there again. Good breakfast every morning.

Hotel was under construction No fault there since they were upgrading rooms. The only thing that is slightly poor was the water pressure in the hotel but that could be because of the construction. minor problem. Be aware of the time of year that you go because everything shuts down in winter and early spring. We went middle of March and not a lot open but that also means no crowds which is a major plus!

The hotel is probably one of the best in town, for both location and amenities. The offerings at breakfast are slightly more than what you would get at a Comfort Inn elsewhere, most likely due to higher costs for the rooms. Bed was comfy, room was quiet. We faced the back side looking at trees, so not sure how much louder it would be if we faced the front of the building.

Cost is high for a Comfort Inn. Parking lot is small. I worried not being to get a parking spot when I came back late one night.

Very clean, comfortable, rustic. Had a pool although we didn’t have time to use it, but it looked nice. Beds we’re comfortable. Continental breakfast was great with a good choice of food items. Staff were very nice.

A bit more expensive but comparable to most of the hotels in this area. But really, very nice hotel.

It was convenient to everything we wanted to do and see. Staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. June kept the breakfast food well stocked- specially the coffee!!

Would have liked an exercise room but that’s not a deal breaker.

The breakfast was ok, I appreciated the individually packed options and our kids loved the pancake machine. For the most part the location was quiet and it felt like we had the place to ourselves a lot of the time.

It would have been nice if there were more fresh options, the bananas were all green. Also, the sandwiches were cold when we took them out of the chafing dish. The swimming pool was freezing, our kids were really looking forward to swimming, but it was disappointing the water was so cold for an indoor pool.

The rooms were a good size and the beds were very comfortable . The location was excellent, just a short walk into Keystone and very quiet. They had a decent breakfast.

If you want housekeeping during your stay you have to ask for it. Also staff could be friendlier.
