Fairfield Inn & Suites Rapid City

Most everything was great, especially the new room design (with open wall space, separate tv space with guest seating, and great shower)...It was also easy to walk to a restaurant and had beverages available in hotel 24 hrs. The breakfast was well done with amenable kitchen staff.

Not easy to find alley to entrance....maybe better signage would help...we drove there but were confused about where to drive to entrance.

The King Suite room we had booked online had been switched on us as we discovered when we checked in. This was due to overbooking they told us. That was a bit disappointing but they gave us a discount on our room to compensate us and it was a room we were satisfied with so all was good! The room was clean and had everything we needed! Breakfast was a buffet that included hot dishes and was very good. We have never stayed here before, have always stayed at Best Western but having had such a good experience we would definitely stay here again. All in all we really enjoyed our stay which was a good central location for the things we planned to do.

Similar to other hotels including Best Westerns you could hear people talking in the next room. The walls are not soundproof. Heard coughing, talking and laughing. We brought a box fan with us and brought it in from the car the second night to help block the noise and that helped a lot when we wanted to sleep.

Room was clean, was advised upon check in that the room would only be cleaned every other day. I requested it be cleaned everyday and they said it would be no problem. Great central location to all the tourism spots you would want to visit.

Loved the location. It was convenient to everything we wanted to go do and see. Staff was very nice. Hotel was very clean.

A negative was I had to make an appointment for housekeeping to clean my room. This was a first for me. Fresh towels was delivered daily but no other housekeeping was included. Had to make the bed myself except for the one appointment I had made. We had reservations for 4 nights. Housekeeping is one of the main reasons I stay in a hotel instead of rb&b’s.

Well organized breakfast area; lots of seating; staff were exceptionally warm and helpful

Early morning construction noise in the room above us.though we were warned at check in that rooms were being renovated the desk person said we would be far enough away not to hear it. That was not true.

The place is nice. The staff is friendly. Place is clean. They were kind of helpful when we were trying to figure out the WA Tiki passes.

The bed. Was so hard. My insides hurt from sleeping on it. So terribly uncomfortable.

Breakfast was filling, warm and very good. Scrambled eggs were freshly prepared. Coffee was excellent. Room was clean, bed comfortable. Spacious room. Like the Tea tree shampoo and the body wash was nice.

Not a dislike - The building is being renovated, yet the areas were sealed and no dust in the air. Feel they are doing the best they can while undergoing the remodel.

Easy access to everywhere. Good shopping, restaurants and entertainment close by.

Thought it was weird that the beds didn’t have bed skirts on them. Made them look like they were portable beds. Not very attractive.

Received a free up grade so certainly can not complain about that. Front desk person extremely friendly and helpful

In room 402, the couch in the room was very worn and when you sat down you felt like you sank a long ways. The lobby was under construction, so that did not add much to the feeling of the hotel.

Breakfast was good and slept very peaceful.

The remodel was kinda of messy and loud. I had to walk around the building to get to my car the next morning, but the staff didn't tell us when we checked in that the front would be closed in the morning.
