The Westin Austin Downtown

the location was great! the decor was nice, & Stella’s restaurant was fabulous

The cleaning staff was less than desirable, only cleaned our room once in 4 days!! And I called them every day to make sure it would be cleaned while we were out for the day - for the price they charge we shouldn’t have to call down to the front desk for clean towels, coffee, water, cups etc every day - apparently no vacuuming of the hallway floors either- they really need to step it up

This is by far the best hospitality I have ever received when staying at a hotel. The manager Chris went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and that our stay exceeded expectations. Everyone in my party said it was the best hotel service that they had ever experienced!

I wish they had suites that came with 2 queen beds rather than 1 king bed, but otherwise, nothing could’ve been better.

The location is perfect,everything is close by. The rooftop pool,The hotel was nice and the staff was very helpful and friendly.

The rooftop pool was cool but unfortunately it’s open to the public so as hotel guests by the time you go up to the pool,there’s no place to sit,the pool is crowded.Tried to go in the morning on Sunday because on the welcome letter they wrote it opens @11am on Sunday but to my surprise we got there exactly 11am and it was already full.I was very disappointed didn’t get the chance to even get in the pool.That really sucked 🙁

The room was cleaned every day. The gym was awesome with an incredible view. Also the pool and the pool bar were great. Amazing views of Austin City from the top.

The food in the restaurant was a little bit more than average. Not bad but the menu could have more variety.

the minute you step outside the hotel, the streets are filthy and the homeless are everywhere, its stinky and they are living miserably very very close to the front door.

Bed was super comfortable, shower was steaming hot and big. The hotel is nice, our view was 6th street. It was the weekend so it was nice to see everybody moving around. Also, like that anybody cant get up the elevator, you have to scan your room to go up or down.

After I checked out, I checked my email for my receipt and seen a charge for overnight valet parking that I did not use. So I have to wait to get that money back after I paid for parking already. It wasn't cheap.

I liked how welcoming and helpful the staff were. As soon as I came into the building they treated me with respect even though I am young. The lady at the check in/out counter was delightful. I liked the elevator 2 person (aside from family) rule due to covid, I felt safe during my stay.

The only thing I didn't like was the cleanliness of the drawers. I like to unpack my bags and put things away during my stay but I had to clean out them first because they were dusty and had a someones previous hair in them. Aside from that the restroom and every other part of the room was spotless! #cleanfreak

Property was pet friendly, very nice. Valet staff was very good at getting vehicles where they needed to be.

There were no Christmas decorations, we were traveling for Thanksgiving and saw Christmas decorations is most other hotels that made it feel more like home. The housekeeping staff never visited the floor we were on the entire 4 days. Trash had piled up at the cans, our room was never serviced or any items refilled while we were gone. May have been due to Covid or the fact that we were traveling with dogs but I found this to be rather strange.

Excellent place, amazing staff. The location couldn't be better and the rooftop bar and downstairs restaurant are amazing as well!

My only quibble is that the sheets are SO scratchy and uncomfortable. Invest in some softer sheets and the place is 5 star.

Beautiful property in the heart of Downtown

The hotel is in a great location, close to some great restaurants, bars, clubs, and is very easy to get in and out of. The amenities give you quality in everything a traveler needs. Cleanliness is at 100% as well is the staff. Lastly, the rooftop bar is a nice little gem for those that want to relax in the sun or dip in the pool.
