in the middle of everything so great location to just walk to many places. really love the style and attention to detail here.

Was charged extra for resort fees....which were charged with the original booking. After some back and forth was able to get the money refunded. Glad I caught it.

This hotel is rather lovely - split between a formal business hotel and the Tommie, an informal take on premium luxury. Great reception, excellent bar and pool area and more than enough staff to ensure you are cared for at all times. Location is just below 6th Street so you are just far enough from the noise and just close enough to the bars, live music, tacos and street parties. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a short or longer stay (1 week) in Austin as it is so central and does offer access to the best parts of the city. Great bar(s), good food, great pool, karaoke night (!) and eclectic staff and customers.

I didn't include breakfast, so often went to the cafe on the ground floor which was rather plain and functional. Coffee in metal mugs, grits, average service and high prices meant I only went there if I had no other choice. Its not bad , its just not great like the rest of the hotel experience.

We loved our stay at the Tommie! The staff was incredibly welcoming and the hotel was designed to a t. The only thing I will say is rooms are a bit small - vanity specifically. And there's no complimentary coffee, but a great coffee bar on site. Pool area was gorgeous and the food was fantastic. The Tommie was accommodating with late check out and holding our bags for the day. Location cant be beat if you want something more central- i.e. not that far from Congress, East Austin, Downtown, etc. Would recommend!

I loved the variety of eateries. The food at Diner Bar was sooooo amazing! I also had a couple of frozen margaritas from the rooftop restaurant. Before my check-out time, I had breakfast at Grey Market. The room was very comfortable, and I had a city view. I had everything I needed in my room and didn't need to call room service or the front desk. The bed was extremely comfortable.

There was nothing that I didn't like about my stay here. I had fun exploring the downtown Austin area. I've already made plans with friends to return and we decided we'd stay here.

Hotel and Amenities are excellent, and staff super helpful and friendly. Pool area is great, and the location for 6th street bars pretty unbeatable. Didnt get to use the gym unfortunately, but it looked like the best equipped one I've seen in a hotel, period. Restaurant in the bar area was excellent also, and the complimentary drink is a nice touch.

There are no coffee or tea facilities int he room, and while there's a Coffee Bar, restaurant and diner downstairs, these are not so convenient. They are also extremely expensive $6-7 for a Cortado is pretty outrageous. Also, the rooms suffer from the 6th street music until about 2am. This didn't affect me, but if you're a light sleeper like my wife, then you may find it hard

the view from the hotel was pretty neat. The room was set up perfectly and met all of our needs for a night. The location was exceptional for our needs and to walk all over Downtown.

no complimentary ice or coffee in the morning. you had to pay $6 for a drip coffee which is pretty absurd. The Homeless population is out of control Downtown Austin but I was bothered by the fact that several of them frequent the lobby and use the bathrooms.

The staff at the reception was very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is very central. Interesting design choices

The toilet in the shower is a bit awkward Privacy in the 'bathroom' is questionable - make sure to choose your travel buddy wisely :-) Staff at the bar/restaurant is unable to attend to 2 guests in an almost empty restaurant- we were seated apparently invisible for about 20 min and decided to leave

The room had all I needed, with view to the swimming pool. The swimming pool area was fantastic, the location very central, and the staff very friendly. Tommie Austin will be my hotel when in Austin in the future.

I had to wait more than 2 hours for the room to be ready for me even if I arrived around 5 pm. I was quite tired as I flew from London UK on a 11 hours flight. The waiting time to get my room ready was excessive. This is the only thing to improve in the future. I would also suggest to have a person around the swimming pool area for clients to order drinks without needing to go to the bar to order. All the rest was very nice. I will stay in the Tommie Austin again when in Austin in the future.

we loved how close it was to everything we wanted to do and see. we also loved being able to bring our dog with us. he really enjoyed it as well. everything looked very nice and modern. plus, the staff was incredible and really made us feel welcomed.

we had some trouble getting to the location because of the street closure they do on the weekends. we couldn’t find the garage or where to stop so we ended up parking at a parking garage behind the hotel hotel, across the street.

The location of this hotel is perfect! Walking or "scootering" distance to just about everything you would want to visit in Austin (Rainey, 6th, or Congress!). The staff at our "front desk" (aka the coffee/bar area when you walk in) were always so friendly. There is a definite team effort in the hotel; everyone was very friendly and helpful to guests and other staff. We loved the bar and coffee area. Although we didn't utilize the service, knowing we could get 24 hour room service was an awesome perk! The pool looked amazing but we didn't have time to use. HOWEVER, the hotel gym. LEMME TELL YOU ABOUT THE HOTEL GYM. Incredible. Amazing. I cannot describe how awesome it was. A Peloton bike, as well as four other bikes using TechnoGym workouts, multiple ellipticals, treadmills, stairclimber, and free weights. I would stay here again just because the gym was so nice!

Honestly......the layout of the rooms was weird. While I knew it would be small (we didn't need anything big), the toilet shared the same floor as the shower and the walls surrounding it were a frosted glass. My boyfriend and I laughed because if a couple hadn't been together a while, it would be a true test of their relationship and comfort level with each other. You can literally see the outline of the person "using the facilities" through the frosted glass... Not a deal breaker for us, but was a weird experience and design choice.
