Austin Marriott Downtown

Superbly comfortable bed, nice room layout with many options for seating, and great lighting. The amenities are amazing - The lobby has plenty of spaces to chill, meet coworkers, and/or work; The fitness center is world-class with everything you'd need and want; Both the rooftop bar and lobby bar are outstanding.

The wifi situation was a bit frustrating -- I'm glad I was a Bonvoy member, otherwise they charge you a whopping $15/day for internet access. Other than that, everything was awesome.

I liked the location and the hotel design, modern and confortable.

Internet and parking should be free, you are paying a very good hotel and I hate it when hotels charge you extra. The valet parking is awful, it takes ages for your car to arrive.

I loved the rooftop bar and pool. It felt like I was in Mexico on vacation. I also enjoyed the happy hour down in the lobby bars. You can not beat $7 cocktails. I was here for Dreamcon and it was so convenient to the convention center.

The gate to enter the pool was broken so i was not able to get i unless someone opened it for me.

The staff is always amazing, we love staying here and the hotel is very clean. This location is close to to everything happening in downtown Austin, we walked everywhere and only drove when it was time to depart.

My only suggestion is for the hotel to make a note within the room that guests can request full pillows versus the feather pillows. We were unaware we could make this request and found out during checkout.

We really enjoyed the roof top bar and pool and we had an amazing waitress ( Stella) my son also enjoyed the cocktail menu.

We did not use the restaurant for breakfast but did get coffee( it was a little expensive to eat breakfast) The first night we didn't have hot water ( it was just warm but improved the next day) and I would of loved softer pillows .

The room was comfortable and the shower was lovely. Great body products. The pool area is awesome and we loved lounging there! The store in the lobby was convenient as well. Check-in (as a Bonvoy Gold member) was fast and easy and the room was ready early.

I had forgotten, or not noticed, that parking was not included in the room price, and was $54 for one night. Ouch! It's unclear if there would have been cheaper or free options on the street, but we didn't have time to look. The sliding "barn" doors separating the bathroom from the room and the toilet area in the bathroom were annoying - they don't provide any real privacy from the rest of the room, and they were heavy and a bit unwieldy. Not an improvement over the classic doors we know and love!

We stayed here for our anniversary and really enjoyed the experience. The staff went out of their way to make our anniversary weekend a special one. The hotel was beautiful and in an excellent location.

The only negative experience I had was at the pool. It was very difficult to order cocktails. I had to chase down the outside attendant several times to make an order.

Staff was extremely friendly even accommodating an early check-in and late check-out. There were a couple of different restaurants in the hotel each with amazing food and great service. The hotel itself is located within walking distance to several shops and restaurants around the downtown Austin area so there's always someplace to explore. My Room was on the top floor and had fantastic views of the city, and once you figured out the new elevator system getting to the top floor with limited stops was pretty easy.

The beds were a bit harder then what I was expecting so it took a little bit to get comfortable. The door to the restroom is a sliding door that was off its bottom rails which would cause it to sway back and forth of you're not careful. The elevator system, though innovative, was new and caused a lot of confusion for anyone that had just checked in, myself included. The loaf and vine shop within the hotel was over priced for the quality of the snacks you were getting.

I was frustrated when my lunch took too long to get. The staff was fantastic. Jumped into action and solved the problem. I was impressed with how well the staff was trained. Will come again.

Location and views made it all worth it. The roof bar and the food there was great. I would love to go back and stay here. Check in was so easy. The staff was amazing and very friendly.

The parking is too expensive. Very hard to find the entrance for uber or lyft.
