Hyatt House Bryan/College Station

This hotel (probably in that it was a Hyatt hotel) was a tier above your average hotel. It was clean, modern, and to my surprise the room even had a small kitchen and small living room areas. It was fancy (the price was also fancy, but it seemed like a good return rate).

The very large AC unit was emitting undulating bass noises that (obviously) could not be stopped by earplugs. I find low bassy sounds/feelings kind of disturbing. Even with the AC unit turned to low or off, it seemed like it was coming through the walls maybe from adjacent units. It was not audibly very loud, but kind of resembled what it might physically feel like to be in a factory, which at least I find unsettling. So, it was hard to relax and sleep. Secondly, I didn't think the bed was super comfortable, and I got some back pain from it.

Mediocre

Our room was “musty”. Can’t say whether it was mildew or something in the carpet but even with humid weather the air conditioning should keep the air dryer. Desk clerk could not sense or smell anything but suffice it to say we are on an 11 day road trip staying in 6 hotels; 3 of them are Hyatts. This was the only one that had a “mold” scent.

Location was very good

We did not get the room we paid for, was very small, we were supposed to get a 2-room suite and ended up with a match box as my wife described it for $400.00 dollars a night. The hotel clerk blamed the booking company for not describing the room properly. I would like to get some of my money back

Her reviews are too short anyways. lol From the outside it doesn’t look elegant but once you’re through the doors the decor, the room and the staff is off the charts elegant. I’m one of those “I can park my own car, thank you” but my wife insisted that we valet. those guys were great as well. I absolutely loved all those pillows on the beds.

I found nothing I didn’t like.

New hotel with modern fixtures and very comfortable bed/pillows. Breakfast was very good with made-to-order omelets. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Perfect location - close enough to the highway for easy access, yet far enough away to not hear any highway noise.

Towels were a bit on the chintzy side. Expected thicker, better quality from Hyatt.

We appreciate the facility cleanliness and size of room.

Asked for body wash to be filled and never received any. The window shade next to the bed allows light to shine in, would have appreciated more darkness.

The fact the staff was nice and helpful! The breakfast was just what I needed!!

No small refrigerator in room! That was all it was misssing!

Breakfast was very good, good location, clean room.

My coffee maker did not work & no one around facility to replace it that evening & no one at the bar to wait on you,

We stayed with our puppy and the staff was very helpful with our needs.

My husband loved the breakfast bar. The only suggestion is a hot sauce that isn't as spicy as Chulula sauce.
