Hilton Garden Inn College Station

Spacious room, comfy bed, carpet looked new and great water pressure in the shower. An abundance of towels which is rare. I liked the soap and shampoo bottles on the wall instead of bar soaps. Hotel is directly across from the Veterans Sports Complex and a few blocks from A&M. Super friendly staff, Mary was exceptional. Will definitely stay again.

Old lamps with dingy lighting. These seriously need updating! No lighting over the bathroom sink. Was not impressed with the breakfast for the price but I didn't walk away hungry. Fresh fruit was a nice touch though.

The room was nice and clean and readily available upon arrival. Occupants next to us were extremely loud. Did not complain to front desk, we just dealt with it.

The amount of time it took to check out. The front desk attendant was unable to process payment for whatever reason, possible system glitch. Waited at front desk every bit of 30 minutes and still was not able to complete transaction. About 45 minutes after leaving without a receipt, I received an email with receipt. And then another receipt after that one. How many times was I charged? Charges have not appeared on account as of yet.

Staff was great, food was good, and the hotel was clean. After checkout, they called me to let me know I left something in the room and wanted to make sure they could get it returned to me.

Fitness room was a bit small and only had dumbbells and a few cardio machines. Walls were a little thin. Conversations and singing from neighboring rooms at 6:30 am was fairly noticeable and a bit annoying.

The premises were exceptionally clean! I appreciated the sanitizing stations throughout the hotel (upon entry, near the elevators, etc)! Having a cook to order breakfast was a pleasant and welcomed surprise! Mary was amazing! She was service oriented and yes we plan to stay again. Our daughter is a student at A&M and we've been checking out various hotels in the area. We have found our go to, thanks Mary!

I didn't care for my card being charged incidentals and being informed I would have to wait on my bank to return it. This is in addition to the cost of the hotel; meaning I had two transactions for one trip and the one with the incidental fees were almost double the actual transaction (hotel cost with taxes)..

I liked the large, modern lobby area with multiple group seating areas. I REALLY liked the understanding and front desk help to resolve the fact that the 3rd party reservation company (whom I will never use again) neglected to forward my reservation information to the hotel.

A nit - you had two different sizes of coffee cups in my room, which meant that the lids provided would not fit one of them.

The bed was comfortable.

The food was not good. Cold, bland eggs, bacon was rubbery because cold, coffee ran out for a while, creamer was gross and wouldn't pump properly because it was thick or wrong consistency. . The apple juice tasted carbonated/gone bad. We opted to leave the hotel the second morning to get a better breakfast.

Loved the location since it is just a few minutes away from the Santa's Wonderland attraction. The Hilton was super clean and had friendly, informative staff. The room was big and open. The breakfast bar was very good with the large waffles.

The indoor pool door on the inside of the building did not work. The front desk informed me that I needed to go outside, across the patio and unlock that outside door to enter the indoor pool. The queen beds just were not as soft/comfortable as I expected them to be.

Awesome Service!!! My mom forgot her ring and the property called us and advised us via phone call, as well as a text with the picture of the ring. They held it until another family member who lived in the town could picked the ring

Wished there were available drinking water in the lobby.

Food was ok - not as hot as I prefer but the restaurant was very full and the two servers were working hard to take care of everyone - and did it with wonderful/friendly attitudes. Coffee was excellent.

Waited quite a while for food; more help for waiter & waitress & kitchen staff considering it was a football weekend which always means lots of people in town.

THE ROOM, A/C, AND THE SHOWER.

I ASKED THE FRONT DESK FOR A RECEIPT AND THEY DON’T GAVE IT TO ME, I ASKED HIM FOR THE TOTAL PRICE AND HE SUPPOSEDLY DON’T KNOW AND WATCHING THE COMPUTER SCREEN THE RECEPTIONIST TOLD ME THAT HE DOESN’T SAW ANY INFORMATION OF MY RECEPTION ON IT. AFTER A WEEK I SAW THE BANK STATEMENT AND SURPRISED THE HILTON GARDEN CHARGED ME MORE IN THE CREDIT CARD THAN THE AGREED WITH BOOKING.COM. I CONTACTED THE CUSTOMER SERVICE WITH BOOKING.COM AND WITH SOME INFORMATION ABOUT THE RECEPTION, A VERY KIND LADY HELPED ME WITH THAT ISSUE.
