Super 8 by Wyndham Ft Stockton

The exterior of the hotel could use an update. We almost changed our minds when we pulled into the parking lot: however, we went inside and was amazed at the decor. The staff was very pleasant and helpful both that night and early morning. The place was just as good or better than more expensive places that we stayed on our trip from Phoenix, Arizona.

Exterior definitely needs to be updated! You are losing customers before you get them in the door.

Room was very comfortable with nice tv and great channel selection. Nice desk area and a lounge chair also. Nice shower. Bed and linens very good with nice pillows. The Lobby was quite beautiful.

Too bad pool was drained. The ice machine/ vending area/ laundry, while quite nice, had water spilled over areas of the floor. But is was 6 am when I was in there, so most likely cleaned up later.

Good location off of I-10. Restaurants nearby. Nice lobby and very friendly staff. The room was spacious and comfortable. Lots of parking. Secure entry to building.

The orange juice machine wasn't functioning properly. The pool was unavailable -- we didn't care since we had no intention of using the pool but thought I'd mention it for others.

This was actually my second stay at this place in two weeks. The first stay my room was excellent, On my second stay, a different room smelled of smoke and was dingy. Staff moved me to the room I had before.

The freezer needed to be defrosted. As I mentioned, a previous room wasn't up to par, but the friendly staff was great about making sure I got into a room which was comfortable.

I would give 10 stars if I could. Staff is super friendly, the place is clean, safe and quiet. Everything you can ask for from a hotel during a road trip. I left my gold necklace in the room and called the front desk after I left the hotel. They found the necklace and shipped it to my address in CA within an hour. Awesome service!

Very fast check-in, room was spacious, everything worked fine, firm bed, no loud noises from neighbors or the highway. Ample parking.

Would love if they had an elevator, working pool and a couple more items in their breakfast. None of these are deal breakers at their price point, this is my favorite spot for a layover in Ft Stockton

Front desk was on point. Room was big and clean. Area is quiet despite just being off the 10.

We've stayed here before but on this occasion there were a few things broken in the room - heater and hair dryer. Also there wasn't curtains,, only a shear blind which was weird. Front desk was informed at checkout so I'm sure this has been rectified now.

Picked this place over nicer/pricier hotels because of the positive reviews & the price!! The outside looks old & dated but inside was nice. You could tell they'd been refurbishing the place with new paint, new flooring, lobby & breakfast areas were nice. Our king room was very large & comfortable. A/C worked great. The frig was larger than usual & had a separate freezer compartment. Staff was pleasant & helpful. Typical breakfast fare, including waffle maker. Also had biscuits & gravy.

My room key quit working " because of the rain." No newspapers were available.

When I first parked in the parking lot the smell of gasoline hit me so hard I thought my car had a leak. Turns out that there are tanker trucks parked on the other side of the fence. Not Super 8s fault but just glad it wasn't my car that was the problem.

Our arrival was greeted cordially and very professionally. The receptionists helped by answering any inquiries we brought to their attention. The room was immaculate, well supplied, and very quiet. We had the perfect access to our vehicle by the second side entrance. The breakfast buffet was completely and well stocked, even just before the last few minutes of closing. We were not rushed at all. Everyone of the staff was cheerful and greeted us with smiles and conversation. Much appreciated uh ated. Thank you.

No complaints at all. Do hope the pool will be accessible on our next visit. Thank you.
