Galveston Beach Hotel

I chose this hotel for the price and location. Those two things are perfect! The staff and the Indian gentleman who appears to be the owner or manager are incredibly accommodating, friendly, and interested in meeting your needs. The first evening we stayed my bed pillow reeked of mildew like it had sat in a pile of wet clothes forever. They promtly switched it with a new, fresh one. I was traveling with 3 teens, they used ALOT of towels and not one single complaint from their staff or housekeeping who my children bothered often for clean towels. Breakfast...you have to get there early as they get very, very busy. When we went down around 8:30am they were out of everything(bagels, muffins, juice, ) even out of the waffles. Staff WAS working diligently to make new waffle batter which i thought was nice, they could've just said "hey, were out". We only ate in the hotel one out of the five days we stayed to avoid the breakfast crowd. They keep up with the pool and hot tub. And even though they were visibly understaffed they are always cleaning, trying to keep it up. The hallway trash cans could use attention as there were knats flying around them but, overall, for the price, the great staff, and the decent facilities, i was satisfied with our stay!

1. Arrived early and the staff was great and friendly. 2. Location is the best on the island 3. Hot spa came in handy on the cool weather days. 4. Nice view of the ocean 5. Laundry units on site but only one washing machine was available during my stay. 6. I will definitely book this hotel again I really enjoyed my staff there.

I did not like that the cleaning staff doesn’t change the bed sheets only the towels. My family did not stay our second night due to the same sheets being left on the beds during COVID.

The gym was closed and I think the contenenral breakfast could be better. There was no fruit. My companion is diabetic and she couldn't eat what was offered. Otherwise it was great.

For it to be a sandy beach, it was clean. No sand on the floor or shower nor in the bed. The beds were also comfortable. We had a working microwave and refrigerator. We did not see any bugs. Towels were always available. The front desk crew was very polite and assisted me on a booking issue I had. Beach access directly across the street.

Not pertaining to the hotel but they really need crosswalks from the hotels to the beach. It's very dangerous crossing the street with speed limits of 40 mph.

I love the location in front of the beach for a good price, the room was clean and comfortable. They have a standard American breakfast included (waffles, egg, bread.) That works for us and for my 4 year old daughter. A very family friendly hotel. We like so much that we extended for 1 night more to enjoy.

I have to say that for the price and some reviews I was expecting less than what I found, because the past year I pay more in a famous hotel and it was a awful room and experience. So these hotel was a great experience.

The beds and blankets That we could be up late and no complaints would be given. That their was free Wi-Fi and cable. How their is an ice machine that can be use whenever. Mostly because I love to chew on ice and for my cold drink. I like that the pool was clean and we had it to our selfs.

The air in the bathroom was broken, it would get hot very fast. Breakfast was very simple. There where parts in the room that look dirty, like the top of the balcony door had stains of something dripping. The lamp had black stains, that made me think it could be mold.

We had a comfortable room with a balcony to the side of the building that looked right over the Gulf & a fishing pier. It was clean & close to restaurants & shopping. The hotel is across the main road from the Seawall. Great location.

Crossing the road to get down to the beach was not very safe. Four lanes of traffic! Galveston beach was very dirty with no sand grooming while we were there. The “sand” is more like mud with seaweeds all over. There were lots of shells though

The room door kept locking and we couldnt unlock it so we had to pack upand change rooms.
