Super 8 by Wyndham Galveston

The room was very spacious and the attendant at the front desk very nicely was able to accommodate us when I mentioned I couldn't climb stairs due to recently having foot surgery. My kids loved having access to the pool which was a shirt distance from our room. We also loved being next to the waffle house and close enough to walk to the beach.

The room looked clean when we got there. But when we moved the bed to put it against the wall (my kids tend to fall off the bed), it was very dirty underneath. There was even an old bottle of lotion under the bed. We also didn't like that the coffee pot we had in our room had mold in it due to some old coffee. The housekeeper was nice enough to bring us a clean one.

Room was comfortable, location was perfect to walk to the seawall and surrounding areas plus stores and restaurants available within walking distance. Breakfast was simple selections, coffee, juice, hot water and tea and muffins.

Thicker comforter on the bed Lol If you like heavy blankets then bring one or ask the front desk for an extra one. Pool is small and vas very hot but that is no fault of the hotel, Texas is hot and pools have a hard time staying cool if not shaded and even then they still get very warm in the heat of the day.

The room was clean.

There could've been more parking. The second night, we had to park in the waffle house parking lot. The breakfast left something to be desired, (as many people have previously said), and we were in the lobby getting some coffee Sunday morning, 3 young boys came in to get some juice and the receptionist completely ignored them, going about doing nothing while the boys were upset about not getting anything, because it was just a few minutes after 9. Yes, breakfast ends at 9, but they should've been able to at least get some juice.

Best part is it was Super close to the beach and restaurants.

The room was dirty. The floors really need a good cleaning. I was having to clean my son's hands and feet every 20 minutes or they would be black from the carpet. And they didn't vacuum our room correctly. They had socks and crushed ramen on the floor when we arrived.

First of all, the location is excellent!! with lots of simple/fast food restaurant and grocery-stores around within walking distance. Room is bigger than normal hotel/Inn. Rooms and facilities are very clean and have coffee-stand for you to recharge anytime~~

the only minor thing is, hope the provided breakfast has a little bit more choices like toast (with jams/butter) and eggs.

Everything about this location was amazing! Short walk from the beach! Quiet! Friendly staff from check in to the stay to check out! No daily cleaning which is understandable due to Covid restrictions still in place! They did bring towels as requested! And a broom so I could sweep up the sand we tracked in! Great stay overall

Lots of room and space.

The bathroom fan was so loud. I would’ve liked a option of having the light on, but not that at the same time. Bedding was not so comfortable.

Very clean room, a soon we open the door you can tell they take care the room ,fresh smell, ac cuayet during the night my family an I had restfull night after fun day at the beach first time users but I pretty sure we go back

Very nice size room, a very short walk to the Seawall

Breakfast could be better only bite size muffins and rolls. Should also let guest know when the water is being worked on.

Room was good area but very musty for daughter s asthma also was disappointed in the breakfast options but not a deal breaker.
