Hyatt Regency Houston West

Good location and the staff was amazing. The koi fish were so cool but the food in the black and gold bar was so delicious!!!! We were sad we only had one dinner there. The breakfast was good as well but the flavor was weaker than dinner. Over all a perfect stay.

If I had to complain it would be about the shower head and that it was older and didn't detach from the wall. So because if that my hair got wet when that wasn't the plan. Maybe some slightly firmer pillows as an option would be nice as well. I rather two good firm pillows over 4 clouds.

The Koi fish… The chocolate martinis… The fish tacos… The nice mattress!!! The valet parking…

On my computer, it should that we would be paying $78 per night. After I paid, I realized I had been charged $99 per night!!! We didn’t like eating dinner in the bar; the food was wonderful, the service was Great… we are just uncomfortable in a bar!!!

Staff is friendly. Beautiful lobby, restaurant, and sitting area. I picked the breakfast buffet and everything was delicious. I love the fact I didn’t have to leave the property to have breakfast (breakfast has a fee). This property is pet friendly and has doggy treats which is located in the front. I enjoyed feeding the koi fish. The location is not too busy, it’s 15 minutes from shopping centers, a nice park, Gangnam Spa, and restaurants.

Only issue I had was when I checked into my room, it was dirty. I think housekeeping marked it as clean by mistake. I was a bit upset about it ( I had a long drive)but the staff was very friendly. The fire alarm went off 7 in the morning and everyone had to evacuate. It was freezing cold outside and I looked a mess and wasn’t covered up all the way. Finally we were able to return back to our rooms. (Safety first) I couldn’t go back to sleep to rest up to get back on the road. Let just say I had an interesting stay.

Everything !! By far the best Stay we have ever had in all the places we have visited. Thank you ,Thank you To this Team and Thank You to the Team of Three who serve breakfast. ( Pedro) The woman who Host and the Gentleman who helped serve and take orders. As to the cook - we owe a kiss to the cook. You guys were amazing. Thank you for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Thank you for making this place beautiful ,comfy, Safe ,and entertaining. We will definitely be back for a Staycation this next time. Many blessings to the Team who works there. You all do an amazing job at taking care of this hotel. You should be proud, We hope this Hotel or Owners Treat you all well. You guys deserve to have a Staycation of your own. Thanks again.

I didnt like that I had to LEAVE.

We have stayed in the same hotel since 2010 and when we are in Houston make a point of staying, concierge and head barman are long term employees and recognise us which is appreciated

The rooms need a little refreshing, lighter walls and furnishings would be nice

Gorgeous hotel. We will come again because of this alone. Customer service was out of this world! EVERY staff member from the bartender, to the concierge, to the breakfast staff. Everyone went out of their way to smile and be extra helpful.

The water hadn't been used for a while on our floor so there was ZERO hot water (they had renovated) so we had to have a maintenance worker come to fix this issue at midnight. Took him about 30-40 minutes which delayed our plans however, he got the issue fixed completely and was kind.

hotel rooms need to be updated.. looks old and raggedy, had holes and stains in the sofa. After coming back to the room after a long day in Katy to take a shower I looked down at the bottom of the tube and it’s brown water coming all over my body.. my body was itching all night. The front desk offered me a free breakfast but they should have offered me another night stay because I was there on my one year anniversary and that was embarrassing to me cause I picked the hotel and it put a damper on the mood because me and my wife was ready to be romantic and celebrate but we couldn’t cause we had brown water on our body. by time the water finally cleared up later it never got hot just warm.. They need to make this up to us cause they really messed up a once in a lifetime night for us.

The room was very nice and the beds were very comfortable. We had the best omelets I've had in years with fruit cups and tea. The hostess was very kind and found the phone I left behind. : )

I reported that the desk light wasn't working to the front desk twice, but it was never repaired or replaced. Made it a little too dark to work.

the property was great. there was a beauty pageant going on in the ballrooms downstairs so the hotel happened to be full of kids lol. the pool is next to a creek so there were lots of bugs nearby. didnt swim tho so idc. no bug anywhere inside. i would skip the onsite cafe and get your morning or midday brew elsewhere. the koi fish was a fun experience. would stay again!

as always, the lobby area is beautiful, the staff was exceptional, and the bar was very relaxing and friendly. The beds are super comfortable and the big screen TV was an unexpected pleasure.

The air conditioning in the guest room was not up to par. It did not seem to cool off very well and had a slightly musty, humid feel to the air. The bathroom area was very small so I kept stumbling over the toilet, and there was a broken tile under the faucet as well. The refrigerator in the room had a note on it saying it would not keep perishables from spoiling… So what was the purpose of having this refrigerator? I did request a separate refrigerator which was brought right up and worked great.
