Modern B & B

The breakfast included homemade banana bread, a very nice touch. It is very quiet. The room has adjustable temperature, which was great since Houston was having a heat wave. When I needed a phone charger, Lisa lent me one.

There was nothing about my stay that I didn't like. United Airlines cancelled my flight, and I was able to return and stay in the same room. The next morning, I was in the breakfast area on hold on two phones and my computer and knew the wait was going to be for more than hour when Lisa told me she could could rebook my flight and did. It took five minutes.

Bed was very comfortable. The breakfast service was very nice. We were comfortable. The proximity to the museum district was perfect. We walked to the Rothko Chapel and the Menil Campus. Towels were nice. Shower was fine.

Coming from California we are spoiled by bath products we are provided. These could have been of a higher quality. I say: bring your own favorite bath products (body wash, shampoo, conditioner). TV was kind of tricky. I suggest asking Avi for a lesson. The Wifi was slow and should have been better.

Lisa is a fantastic hostess, and keeps a great bed and breakfast - I felt like an honored guest in her home. The common area always has a coffee/tea bar stocked, and her cookies are an extra plus! It's a sign of how clean she keeps the B&B when I don't mind walking around barefoot in my room, and the bed was super comfortable. In the morning, she sets a communal table for all guests, and Roxanne greets you with your choice of type of eggs/omelette (prepared as you like) and a delicious spread that includes her homemade vegan granola with fruit/yogurts and multiple options of types of milks and juices. Now that I've found this treasure, I plan to return here every time I'm visiting this area of Houston!

I’ve never experienced such an exceptional B&b. Lisa is the most amazing host and went to great lengths to accommodate us. She even baked us cookies for our very early departure. The breakfasts the other days were great and we had fun interactions with the other people at the B&b. We found that the location was also perfect with some small bars/restaurants at walking distance and also Menil Collection + Rothko chapel close by. There’s a bus connection that connects to the light rail so NRG / MFA and downtown are within reach with public transport.

Lisa is friendly and welcoming. The breakfast is great with fresh fruit, delicious baked goods and food made at the guest’s request. Property is cute in a lovely neighborhood that has nice character. Highly recommend!

The street is a little narrow when cars are backing out of the driveway, but it’s a nice neighborhood in a central location.

We evacuated for Hurricane Ida to Houston from New Orleans and found this place after so many hotels were already booked up. Originally I booked a room with a full sized bed for my fiance, dog, and myself. However once we got there Lisa upgraded our room for no extra cost, because she was worried it was too small for the 3 of us. The apartment she upgraded us to was wonderful! It was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed. It was such a nice surprise after being in the car for hours. She was also flexible with our dates since we didn't know when we could go back home. Lisa was a fantastic host and was so nice to us.

Great atmosphere in this B&B, located in a quiet neighborhood, some good restaurants around at walking distance. The breakfast is fantastic, the owners are super friendly and helpful. Space for the car, comfy rooms.

AC full blast on makes it a little cold, this a personal view though and the places in Texas we have been had the same issue so I guess we are actually the ones a little out of place. Either then this everything was great.

The owner was very friendly. I was sad because I'd just dropped off my son for college. She upgraded me to a room with a bath and offered me dinner. She's a great host and made me feel very welcome. The bed was also phenomenally comfortable.

I loved my delicious breakfast, including eggs to order. My room was super comfortable, and had a beautiful view of the city (photos included in my review). It was a very hot day while I was there, and the AC was fantastic. The staff was super sweet and friendly, and gave the best tips for Houston. I was in town for one night to see the Hockney-Van Gogh exhibition at MFAH, and they gave me the best tips on finding things to do/eat in the area to make the most of a quick visit, in addition to the museum.

I almost locked myself out on my balcony. I would suggest putting a small sign on the door to remind guests to leave the door unlocked when they go out.

Upon arrival we were greeted by the nicest managers who upgraded our stay! Super clean and unique spot in the heart of Montrose. We really loved how spacious the king suite was. It had an enormous bathroom with a walk-in shower, large spa tub and double sinks. The TV had all streaming services. The door to the bedroom locked and unlocked with your own key to keep your personal belongings stowed away while you are out & about. We woke up in the morning to the scent of bacon and coffee. Checking out was easy as pie. This is a great, clean space to stay! Highly recommend.
