The Westin Houston Medical Center Museum District

The bedding-sheets were very nice and made sleeping temperature cooler. We ordered dinner one night and the food was very fast and very good quality. My husband was having surgery at MD Anderson so the location was convenient for us and we like the shuttle car staff. Modesto was very helpful. Our floor and room was very quiet and felt safe. We especially liked the high tech system on the elevators.

The mattresses on the beds were not stationary so as it moved on it’s stationary base I hurt my legs on the sharp wood corners of the base. That’s dangerous. And I’m physically able and aware. Not my fault. The check-in desk wasn’t on the 1st floor. It was on the 5th. That took a bit of getting used to but ok. When we first entered our room the staff member didn’t show us some items that would’ve been helpful. The lighting (i.e, lamps in the room) was inadequate. One lamp on a high bar table & 2 tiny lights by beds. There was no full length mirror for dressing. I’ve never seen that in a 4star hotel.

The staff from the valet, front desk, bartenders and servers were all very accommodating. They always greeted us and asked if we needed anything. The facility was very clean. Our room was well kept. The outdoor lounging area was very comfortable with an amazing view. All around great experience. The food was good too.

When we first arrived the front desk check-in lady didn't give us our breakfast passes. I asked her about it and she assumed we didn't have passes. I told her that we did and she said let me check. When she checked she only gave me one 2 passes for one guest for two days, even though my reservation was for 2 days and 2 guests. I had to go back up to the front desk after eating breakfast to get the other guest eating vouchers. That's my only complaint. I felt she was being rude and didn't want to give us the passes. Everything else was great!

Our stay was wonderful. We are not from Houston and when we do travel to Houston we always choose the Westin because it’s a great location not too far away from anything, it almost feel like it’s in the middle.

I did not like the shortage of towels. We had multiple people I know a few towels, even though one phone call in about three minutes later the towels were at the door. So more of a minor inconvenience than a dislike.

The Westin Houston Medical Center and staff met my expectations. Valet was convenient. Margaritas were delicious!

Room was big , clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and very attentive. They gave us the wrong room and I'm happy with the way they fixed the problem and accommodate us . This hotel is literally the best .

Pool had a couple mosquitoes and flying ants in it , but that's normal with weather and outdoor placing.

The hotel really leaned into the Eras tour and decorated the lobby which was very thoughtful and fun. Restaurant and bar service was great even though they were short staffed. The area was great and near the train to get to the stadium. I had a really good experience and will go the next time I visit Houston

House keeping was haphazard in which rooms they cleaned and when. It was like a lottery. Finally we called service express for cups or body wash to be replenished. They need a QC manager to check on the housekeeping staff.

I liked that it was close to Hermann Memorial Hospital where my husband had a procedure and had to stay overnight. The valets and bellmen at the property were very friendly and helpful.

No microwave in room. Only 2 bath towels in room. My husband was having surgery and had to bath the night before and morning of surgery. It would of been nice to have a few extra bath towels. Since it’s downtown you have to pay for parking at hotel and at the hospital. The check in staff didn’t let me know that they had shuttle that could of driven me to the hospital so I could of saved on parking fees daily.

Room service food was great. Came in 20 minutes of order. Location was great. Staff was very helpful. I’d definitely use this hotel again and recommend

Parking situation was kind of confusing. No free parking is understood. But payed third party was not great. Wasn’t horrible though. Just only issue.

The location in the middle of the Houston’s Medical Center! the connection through the Bridge with some hospitals, the restaurant TERRACE 54, the casual food restaurants downstairs in the street.
