Best Western Plus Longview - University Hotel

The room we stayed in was very clean and had everything we needed. Also, the staff was friendly.

The hotel grounds were a bit dirty when we arrived. However, we noticed that the hotel had a lot of oil/construction workers staying there. We assumed that it’s probably difficult to keep floors cleaned up when the workers are tracking dirt in from their jobs. By morning you could tell that the staff was trying to clean everything again.

Check in was nice, they listened to my requests and I received a nice quiet room. Clean. Loved the bathroom clean and clean modern. All good. Breakfast options were great.

Only suggestion is to get luggage trolleys with bars on both sides, these modern ones require more finesse not to spill stuff.

Room was clean and location was great. Easy to get on and off expressway and food choices close by. Breakfast was good eggs, home fries, and sausage along with other things. Had a nice gym and cucumber water for the guests.

Wall paper peeling. Curtains didn't close so anyone could look in, even on third floor. Slippery bathtub, no grippers in bathtub. Staff overlooked giving us washcloths. The door to our room was left open when we got there. Let staff know of the problems and we have not been the only ones to bring the issues up. The staff let's the owner know and nothing gets fixed.

Nice place to stay. Easily accessible and location was fine for me.

Didn't like that they didn't have a fan in the bathroom or a hair dryer. The ac/heating unit wasn't perfect and didn't seem to stay quite at the temp it was set too but I wasn't in my room for very long so I wouldn't have complained anyway.

Comfortable. Great water pressure in the shower! Lots of space in the bathroom including counter space. Staff when I arrived was so nice! Loved the Christmas decorations! So pretty and have the place a homey feel.

Lack of insulation between rooms. I could hear every morning noise being made by the guest in the room next to mine... Soooooo gross. Also elevator is pretty slow and doesn't sound very safe.

The customer service was off the chain. I was treated like a queen. Hunter and Jesse were very helpful and most accommodating. Such fine young men and fabulous manners. The breakfast was pretty decent. I enjoyed mine. The coffee was good too.

I had an eensy bit of trouble with the air unit. I was not sure how to operate it. I am sure someone would have helped me had I really needed it.

I loved how affordable the room was! The inside is gorgeous, and the room was clean and very well put together. I like that they have a cleanup station for dogs too.

I was looking forward to a swim in the pool but was told it was closed. The pool itself looked fine to the untrained eye.

Very welcoming, clean and affordable, my son loved the cookies in the lobby. The room and property were clean and cozy. The breakfast was great and there were other friendly guests in the breakfast area that we had nice conversation with.

When we checked in to the first room there was a ozone machine in the room so we got switched rooms. The second room was great.

One of the most extensive breakfast offerings I've seen in a hotel. Full breakfast to include biscuits/gravy, bacon, eggs, potatoes, waffles, etc. Was not expecting this as the hotel is nice but doesn't appear to be super heavy on amenities.

The shampoo/conditioner/lotion provided in the bathroom are TINY (not even a full use). We also had a lot of noise that could be heard from adjacent rooms.

Comfortable room with curtains that close easily, good temp control, quiet, comfortable bed, and variety at breakfast.

Last day, I had to ask for completion of room service to get towels, coffee, and shampoo replenished. At breakfast, many were left waiting and requesting coffee. Staff was good but somewhat disengaged.
