Doubletree by Hilton McAllen

Hotel was charming, very quiet. Very relaxing. Just what we needed to get away for a weekend. Staff very friendly and efficient. Loved the cookie and check in.

Wish restaurant was fully open, more variety on menu and breakfast. Would like more handicap access walking thru lobby to bar and restaurant. Parking very challenging for handicap. Hotel needs a little touch up work an wear and tear items.

I will be staying here again as we are looking to relocate to the area and build a house. The staff goes out of their way to accommodate you in any way they can. We ate dinner 2 times in the bar and had drinks there every night before going out. The bar staff was amazing and hospitable. They really went out of their way to be friendly and tell us all about the area.

They decor is nice but is outdated and needs a facelift. However, everything was in good shape except when we went to use the hot tub in the pool area it was tepid water. Maintenance couldn't even fix it.

There was no breakfast, but in COVID times I didn't expect one. I loved the location near places I wanted to visit. The bed was comfy. The living room TV was huge and worked great. I loved having a desk at the right height. I loved the atrium/lobby.

The bar sink was too tiny to wash things and there was no dish soap. There was only 1 coffee cup and it was paper. There was a foreign hair in my bathroom. The bedroom TV did not appear to work correctly but I could get some channels. The hospital across the parking lot made a lot of loud noises with their machinery. I did not go in the pool because it did not look clean (water was foamy).

This is the second time I have chosen this hotel and I would choose it again! The staff and management go out of their way to accommodate your every need.

Not one thing! It was perfect! We ended up staying 2 extra day's we loved it there so much!

It was clean and everyone was super friendly

The property itself was fine but the day of check in I was called because they told me they didn’t have any 2 bedroom suits and didn’t know why it allowed me to book online when they only have 1 bedroom suits. The manager was quick to resolve the issue and offer us a free night stay with complimentary breakfast which was great. However, we were told that our funds would be refunded back within 24 to 48 hrs, it’s been 5 days and they charge is still pending on my account and has yet to be released or refunded. I’ve called both the hotel and and bank but I just keep getting redirected to the other. It’s very frustrating.

The location was good and the look of the hotel was nice. The Starbucks inside the hotel was a plus. The room as smaller than expected but had everything we needed.

There was only one elevator for the whole hotel and it was super slow. The pool looked like it needed a new coat of paint. The sofa bed was dirty and the beds were uncomfortable.

We enjoy visiting this place as it’s probably one of the most beautiful places in McAllen. It’s right next to many shopping areas and eateries. It’s a great place to relax in if there aren’t functions downstairs.

Downstairs functions sometimes spill into the rooms and the rooms will become party hosting headquarters with multiple people. Making it a little loud and a late night to stay up event.

Excellent breakfast, the staff was overly friendly and helpful, and extremely prompt. As per the breakfast it was at the table in 5 minutes or less which sad important for people on the go. The coffee and cookies were delicious!

Due to Covid 19 we we learned that no business is having it easy. No employee’s available. So they had to work triple time with 10 % of the necessary staff. We had to stay in a 1 or 2 star when we departed in Mateahuala, Mexico.

Staff was very nice. The room was way bigger then we thought it was going to be.wish we could have stayed longer but it was a really great room.

We loved everything about this place! We have stayed at a lot of places in the RGV and this was our favorite of all. Instead of spending a ridiculous amount at SPI, come stay in Mcallen for the weekend and enjoy the many choices you have for dining and leisure.

There was nothing here that I didn't like aside from maybe elevator wait times but no biggie. This place is nice!
