Holiday Inn Express & Suites New Braunfels, an IHG Hotel

Cleanliness, showers were well stocked, pool had a couple extra towels, the business cards had the manager name on them.

Did not like writing down make and model of my vehicle. When inquired about the paper the attendant helping another family turned around and said it was standard practice at all hotels and she's worked in other hotels before. It was a little rude to the other attendant to blurt in. While I understand she was trying to put me at ease, I don't want someone to lie to me.

We always enjoy our stay at this facility. Traditionally it has been consistently clean, the staff very helpful and the breakfast plentiful and fresh with a variety for all tastes.

I believe the mattresses we had this trip were a bit old. They were fairly comfortable the first night, but the second night I did not feel as comfortable as the previous night. I do not believe I could have slept on it a third night. My husband, who slept in a separate bed, felt the same way. Perhaps it is time for a mattress update!

I liked that the room did not have a musty smell neither did the rest of the building.Glass doors on the shower stall were also a nice surprise,and the nightlight in bathroom came in handy! Shades on the window did an excellent job at keeping out sunlight in the morning. USB ports and electrical outlets bedside were also a plus. Comfortable bed, pillows, and bed sheets kept us nice and cool in bed. This is hands down the best room we’ve stayed at in any holiday inn express!!!

The only thing we disliked was the green blinking lights coming from the smoke detector. They were really bright in a mostly dark room. They blink continuously about every 5 seconds.

We arrived at 2:30 pm and check-in was stated at 3 pm. There were hardly any cars in the lot. The front desk told us that if we were Holiday inn rewards members we could check in early. I understand if the hotel was very busy we would have to wait. Front desk said they had to check with housekeeping to see if a room was available. They said they had a room ready on the 2nd floor but we had to wait. Is this a corporate policy?

Hotel was nice, centrally located for what we were doing in town, staff was friendly, breakfast was good and rooms were comfortable. Overall we had a great experience.

On our second night, my son was in the shower when a huge cockroach crawled in. It was a Texas size one and thank goodness we didn't see any of his creepy crawly friends but my child was paranoid about things crawling on him the rest of the night. The nightlight next to the door was too bright.

The room was very clean and bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was good with a good selection. The staff was friendly and helpful with places to go. We would stay here again and recommend it for others to stay.

Our GPS had a difficult time locating the hotel. After 20 minutes of trying to find it, we had to call them for directions. The staff member could only give us the name of another hotel to find them.

Mostly clean. Didn't see anything concerning but it didn't amaze me either. Didn't have to wait too long for breakfast items. Staff was friendly. Quick, easy check in.

There was a spot of blood on the wall near the toilet. The walls seems somewhat thin. Could hear activity in the rooms around us.

Roberto and the staff went beyond and above to be helpful to two sisters in their 70's. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, from Roberto to the ladies that clean the rooms. The room was beyond our expectations down to the little touches like the origami towels! The beds are so comfortable that anyone should be able to have a good night's sleep. As fare as the free breakfast, DO NOT MISS IT! One word describes it, AMAZING! Thank You Roberto and Staff!!!

We were very disappointed in the breakfast availability! When we came to breakfast 95% of the main foods were empty. We couldn’t find anyone to ask about it so asked at ck in desk, they said he would be refilling things. After waiting & waiting at least 10 mins, he finally came out. I asked about refilling the food. He said they don’t refill it after 9:30. If that’s the case, you shouldn’t advertise breakfast until 10. Also, there were no forks & some condiments. Very disappointing. Also, we loved our room but there’s mold on the ceiling in the bathroom, other than that, it was great.

This hotel was very clean! The beds were super comfy! The staff was so friendly! I loved staying here!

The only thing I would change about staying here would be that they didn’t leave enough towels in the room for the amount of guests. We only had 2 big towels & we have 4 people staying in the room. So we had to ask for more towels every day.
