South Padre Island Inn

The beds are always comfortable! The location is awesome and they are also walking distance from senor donkey (restaurant), which is a must when you visit SPI. The hotel price is also very reasonable. Just an FYI they do require a 100 (cash only) damage deposit when checking in, they will return your money once you check out.

They only had less than half a roll of toilet paper once we had checked in, so we had to go ask the front office to give us 2 rolls since we were staying for 4 days but they only gave us 1. So that was an inconvenience asking for toilet paper once we were out.

The price was good. Manager Sophia was able to accommodate my needs due to the fact that I'm a disabled veteran. Instead of upstairs rooms, she was able to give me a downstairs. The most important thing was that the hotel was pet friendly. With two large dogs, it worked out great. When I come back to South Padre Island, we will stay here again at South Padre Island Inn.

These, to me, are minor, but TV had no signal. They were able to replace the TV quickly. Remote batteries were weak. One lamp had a short where you could tell it was a splice before. One morning, the toilet didn't have water due to not enough water pressure. Other than that, it was a good stay.

It was nice for the price. it was clean, the a/c kept cool, and the bed was very comfortable. We traveled 7 hours to get there & although the room wasn't ready on time the clerk did her best to put us in another room but because all rooms was booked she offered us an extra hour on our check out time. When my husband went to complain about the TV remote wasn't working they sent maintenance right over to solve the problem. Great customer service!

The room could use an update....replace the carpet with tiles, or hardwood floors. We had the King suite with Kitchenette and the room appeared to be much larger in the pictures. The only thing that made it a King suite was the bed was King size, TV could be updated didn't like the fact the remote wasn't working. The telephone was very nasty & dirty(didn't have any office call instructions) Swimming pool area was nasty & dirty. We booked our room two months ahead & we traveled 7 hours to get there & the room wasn't ready, we had to wait 30 minutes extra after our scheduled checkout time.

Great value for the price! Perfect for a weekend getaway. Probably the best propert with the lowest price offered. Room is clean, there is a fridge and tv. Towels were changed and bed was made by staff. The staff is very friendly and we could extend our checkout with no extra charge. The bed matress is a bit too soft for my preference, but my back didn’t hurt and we got good sleep. Our favorite thing was the pool area with the hot tub. It’s free of charge and no one was using it, other than us. We relaxed there every night during our stay!

One of the reason we booked was that breakfast is included. We were a bit disappoibted that it’s only cold breakfast and sweet. basically cereal and toast w BPJ, muffin, no savory stuff. But we bough stuff in the supermarket to compliment what was offered to our liking.

I actually got the room that I booked and paid for. And although I arrived pretty late I was still greeted by a friendly smile. She made the check in process as quick as possible and was very helpful.

The parking was tight not the easiest to menuver around in the lot. The bathroom wasn't exactly up to par either. Not sure if it was anyone's fault but there were dead bugs on the floor. And the door was definitely not to my liking as it was hard to shut and the second, inside, lock was busted so wouldn't do any good.

Beds are always comfortable!! Reason why I've stayed here numerous times. It's also right next to a restaurant (senor donkey) which is a must to try!!

Housekeeping didn't want to give us an extra roll of toilet paper when we had checked into the room there was only a half roll available for our use. They told us to ask front office tomorrow once the roll was finished which could have been solved by just handing us a roll.

Staff was very nice. We stayed on a Friday night so we could watch the fireworks. When we left we didn't have to get on the main road to get back to the hotel. Room was clean, beds were comfortable. This place is very pet friendly.

You have to leave a cash $100 deposit when you check in. You get it back when you check out. Also the room was noted as a non smoking room but smelled like cigarette smoke as soon as you walked in. My door would sometimes not open w the hotel key but luckily my girls were in the room to open door and I did not have to walk to the office.

I liked that the rooms were big and clean. They need news stuff but I enjoyed my stay. The front desk staff they were really nice and the discount they gave me on my pets was great. The price for 2 rooms and 3 nights was great. Oh and the pool is not big but I love that it was private. It has a brick wall around it that people driving by or on the second floor can't see you . I would definitely stay there again. 😊

I had 2 rooms. One room the microwave didn't work and there was no hair dryer in that room. The place is not bad just needs work. The house keeping staff, we hardly seen anyone to get towels. The TV'S can be bigger but not important. They didn't have an ice machine down stairs and they were working on rooms late in the evening that made it hard to rest, but at least they are working on making the place better.

We weren’t provided enough linen for all of the guests for our stay. There were 5 of us and they only provided 2 towels. When asked for me they said they would provide them but they weren’t ever brought.

Hotel location is good there´s a convinience store across the street. Employees at the Hotel are friendly and willing to help. The pool and whirpool temperature was great, most of the week it was only my kids and myself by the pool.

Hotel is old and needs some restauration, paint at the doors is falling off, floor stays wet a lot of time. "Breakfast" only offers bread, milk, cereal and jam.
