Parry Lodge

For an older 'classic' property, it is fairly well maintained (a fence was being scraped and repainted while we were there) and clean. Having two king-sized beds in the room provided us a place to keep our luggage open during our 5 night stay. Dining room served a very good buffet breakfast and also had good dinner options (including being open fairly late on the weekend). Easy 0-3 block walks to other restaurants to the west and south on the main road. Room fridge & TV worked great. Ice maker on main floor had plenty of ice despite being frequently used by many guests.

The focus on the historical connection to western movies wasn't our thing but we stayed there due to the overall value despite knowing it would be kitschy. Room doors and bathrooms are in need of some updating to the extent practical but are part of the historic style so we knew to expect it.

Location was central to town, so it was easily walkable to restaurants, grocery stores, museums, etc. The buffet breakfast in the morning was cheaper than anywhere else, but it was really good! The dinning room was gorgeous in the morning with the sunlight coming in through the porch front windows 😍 We hiked and played in sand most of the days, and the staff was really great about cleaning our mess up. There was a small heated pool, so even when it was a little chilly outside, we were still able to enjoy it. The barn theater was one of my favorite things. They played a western that was filmed in Kanab each night! We watched "The Apple Dumpling Gang Rides Again" the last night we stayed, and I wish we did it more! This is definitely an old place, but they've kept it up well. We'd love to come back!

The tv isn't the absolute best quality tv, but it worked fine for the kids to be entertained. The beds were squeaky, but still really comfortable. Perhaps there be a discount on the breakfast or other meals when you're staying there? With that said, we were still willing to pay each morning for the delicious food.

I love the hotel with all the best memories about Utah little Hollywood. I walked thru the walls around the lobby to the dining room that filled with pictures of many of the stars who have stayed at the hotel, those walls can talk and tell the stories about golden age of Utah little Hollywood. The breafast room is a big bonus with romance viewing, fresh flowers, good coffee, breakfast with the best bacons and fresh food after I travelled to many places. I haven’t had a good bacon and fresh breakfast like that recently from hotels except Parry Lodge. I will come back with my companies.

Location - Excellent at the center of the town. Restaurants, coffee shops and gift shops are within minutes of walk from the hotel. The property has a lot of history associated with film making as the name of the town "Little Hollywood". Staff - Friendly and welcoming. Swimming Pool - With deep water for swimming, fire place at night for sitting and sunshine in the afternoon. Restaurant - Excellent food for buffet breakfast, light lunch and good menu for dinner with nice presentation of food. Overall Parry Lodge is a gem in Kanab.

Really enjoyed our stay at Parry Lodge while in the area to hike The Wave. The staff was exceptional from our check in on Sunday afternoon 2/25 to checking out a couple of days later. Each staff member we encountered was cheerful, helpful and a great representative of the business. We ate breakfast there both mornings and everyone was happy with their food ,and again, the service was exceptional. We've got our landing spot next time we're in the area, Thank you again to everyone that served us. You guys were awesome. :)

This was a very clean Lodge, very unique, they have a building playing old time westerns all night long which was kind of cool. Breakfast cost $8 , but it's pretty worth it. It's really good, eggs were kind of slimy but some people like them like that. I just threw mine in the microwave for a minute or two. They had a lot of selection. Front staff was very friendly and helpful and the town is absolutely adorable, little pricey but adorable

That's the only negative thing I could say is the town kind of closes down a little early and Utah has a weird drinking law where you have to eat in order to drink which luckily I don't mind LOL but it's still weird

Room was comfortable and clean. Heating was noisy but not too bad. Breakfast was awesome. Dinner was also really good, really enjoyed it. The dinning room is so elegant, classic styling in tune with the Parry theme, but immaculately decorated, I loved the traditional feel.

The heating system was a little noisy. Was more expensive than other local chain hotels, but I knew that before booking and think it is worth the extra cost for the atmosphere and peace and quiet.

We chose to stay here because of the location. It was close to the shops and restaurants, close to Main Street. We parked, checked in and walked everywhere. It was great. They offered two KING beds. Not your standard queens. So much more space and comfortable, Lots of history at this hotel. Very clean and well kept considering the age of the property.

I wish the room came with more coffee. There were two different flavor teas, a decaf and 1 regular. My husband and I both drink coffee and there was only 1. So I gave it to my husband. I then had to go to the lobby to get my coffee. Which is not a huge deal, but I typically like my coffee in my pajamas. So having to wait, get dressed and go out in the snow to the lobby to get coffee wasnt my first choice but I did it for the love of coffee. 😂 But that was honestly the only down side. We loved this hotel and will definitely stay here again.

The Parry Lodge is historic Kanab. Lots of old movie start memorabilia is on the walls all over the place. The rooms are cute and quaint. We got to the lodge after a long day of travel at 11 PM and they front desk, while they weren't there, had already reached out to me to ensure we were still coming and made arrangements for me to get the keys for the rooms.

While the location is excellent and hotel is cute and quaint, I would say that the bedding was a little too firm or boxy for me. I mean I slept alright, but the mattresses and pillows just felt like they were all the original to the he "little Hollywood" heyday.

Parry Lodge is very charming and takes you back to a time that makes you wonder about all of the cool things that have happened there! Great location to restaurants and a grocery store in town.

The young kid at the desk when we checked in did not offer any information about the movie in the barn. I'm not sure how we could have accessed that information? We did not find anything in the room about it either. The two chairs in the room look like they need a good cleaning. We stayed in the James Arness room.
