This is not a “cookie cutter” hotel/motel/Inn similar to a Hilton , a Marriott or a Holiday Inn . This is a 200 year old Inn that has character and great charm . From the moment you drive into the parking lot and come through the front door you will appreciate the difference. Reception is friendly , personal and comfortable. The reception area reminds you of the Inns that you saw in the movies of bygone years . The staff is helpful and cheerful . Our room , #10 , had three windows for light , a very comfortable 4 poster bed , 2 comfortable wingback chairs, and had A/C plus a ceiling fan as well as iron , ironing board , small personal fan and everything that you might need . The bath was bright and compact in typical Inn fashion with all necessary equipment as well as toiletries . Nice common lounge was right next to our room for meeting with friends and relatives . Breakfast was very good with home made muffins/ scones , made to order local fresh eggs or pancakes plus fresh fruit . All in all a very complete breakfast . There is a restaurant/ pub on site but we were unable to avail ourselves of it. It looked very nice with indoor and outdoor dining available . WiFi was good in our room . Will definitely return when in the area

Staff was very considerate to my needs. I was here on business in Middlebury and had to get out early, but breakfast isn't served until 7:30am. I had an 8 am meeting. The night before I spoke to he front desk, they said they'd have breakfast ready at 7:25. And the breakfast was fabulous...

The bed that mattress was old 5 years ago. It was worn out and I could feel individual springs with my hands. Room7, replace it. And if you are 6'6" like me, you have to be conscious of low doorways and other head bangers.

comfy bed, charming decor, excellent breakfast, friendly staff, good water pressure and hot water. the entire property is extremely clean and well cared for. would definitely return.

only thing to mention was getting in and out of the claw foot tub was a bit treacherous. if you are short, unsteady or have trouble with mobility you might struggle to get out of tub safely. (no separate shower or handrail.) And of course old buildings have creaky floors, so we could hear people walking down the hall. But overall it was pretty quiet.

The breakfast was exceptional. Served by a friendly hostess, lovely room with a view. The food itself was very tasty and better than standard fare. Our bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was modern and functional. We were looking for a Vermont style Inn and we found this place on line. We know of the Bob Newhart show and this is what inspired us to book the Warbury. We are from western Canada and traveled the Canadian Maritime provinces and the US New England states. This Inn was one of our most cherished memories.

The breakfast was both hearty and delicious. The room was relaxing after a long trip. It was accommodating that they had us in a room with 2 beds instead of just one. The restaurant on premise was convenient and we enjoyed a fabulous meal.

It would have been nice to have tea or coffee available upon our arrival. Although there was a television on the first floor, it would have made the stay better if one had been on the second floor.

Where to start...the staff was amazing. So friendly and helpful. The Inn itself is beautiful and wonderfully located in the country side. The food was absolutely incredible and priced reasonably. Our room was cozy and comfortable. Very very clean. It was peaceful and restful. Everything you would want in a Vermont country inn.

Coffee wasn't put out until 7:30 which was literally the only thing that I could even write here.

Building and history, for the age the Inn is very well maintained. The grounds are beautiful and the staff are very friendly while also being professional.

I understand the historical aspects of the building and the need to preserve the authenticity, but a small tv in the rooms would make a huge difference after a long travel day.

Value for the room. Cleanliness of the room and Inn is and was exceptional as usual. Staff was always helpful and attentive. Food in the dining room was very good.

Problems were due to Covid, which my wife and I understood. Tavern and dining room closed earlier than usual. No fire in the lobby fireplace, which my wife used to love. Hopefully everything will come back soon.

Wow! This place is heaven! Both the exterior and interior have such classic Vermont atmosphere - you don't want to leave. Very clean. Amazing cooked breakfast included. Dinner in restaurant was superb. Staff could not have been nicer. The exterior of this inn was used for the Newhart TV show.

Very quaint old building originally built in 1774!!! The BEST breakfast I've ever had (scones and pancakes). Very clean. Staff was great. Would highly recommend.

Nothing. Was great. We had a room with a smaller shower that would be difficult if you were unhealthy/obese.
