The breakfast was excellent - food quality & options were above similar breakfasts offered by comparable hotels. Staff - from the courteous & friendly desk clerk at our arrival, to breakfast staff, to cleaning personnel & including the front desk manager at checkout were delightful, professional, & helpful! Just to add, the hotels decor (while staff commented the structure was built perhaps 20 years) was representative of hotels that are newly built. Furnishings (most made from Hickory) were perfect for the Big Stone Gap area & every room & area of the hotel was so very nicely appointed. Historical photos added unexpected but dramatic perspective to the local area & its history. Terrific.
We could not offer ANY comment that would be needed to enhance our visit & stay. Our home State of Wisconsin has many lovely natural surroundings and lakes. However, there is no replacing the awe, beauty & excitement of being in the mountains. Spectacular!

Great Breakfast and very conveniently located. Also it was nice when on our second morning we got to breakfast late, about 9:45 and everything was still set up with fresh food. They had not started taking the food down.
Wasn't anything not to like. Great place to stay. Off the path but still only minutes from the highway.

Breakfast was good. Staff in dining room was very nice as were the staff members at the desk. The gentleman on duty when we checked it was very helpful with directions. Liked having the fridge, microwave and coffeepot available.
Television was terrible. No way to enter a channel number so you had to arrow up or down to the local on the low end to news channels in the 60's. Was difficult as the remote/tv response was not very sensitive.

Breakfast was great. Room was clean. The view outside was wonderful. Staff was friendly and nice. I didn't visit the pool area but it looked clean. Water in the bathroom was hot.
It was loud. We were on the bottom floor and it sounded like someone was going to come through the floor.

The location was great I have no issues with that but I did pay for continental breakfast in my stay and there were very few selections due to The Cove Ed and I ended up having to spend extra money to have breakfast for me and my family so I do feel they should not have charged full price that included the continental breakfast to their guests when they weren't receiving the actual breakfast due to covid-19
